my AT700, MP100, & ARC10 just arrived today and took some pictures right away, just wanted some help to identify if these are in fact genuine yonex rackets. thanks serial # AT700> 140289sp MP100> 090667>1p OR ip ......i really don't know? ARC10> 220382sp
from the engraved serial, it looks genuine but that alone can not be used to determine its authenticity
Hi Johnny P, I not a good person to judge your racket..but seem abit weird. First is the SP(Singapore), meaning it is for asia/asian region distribution. How come it reach to your region? Also i'm doubt about the manufacturing number, it seem unlogical numbers. As you can see, mine is an Carbonex 21SP bought in Malaysia.. that why it is an SP version. Futhermore, research on the year of the model. For example, ArcSaber i think it is an 2007/2008 racquet models. Mines is carbonex series started in early as mid 80's i think. But still, carbonex series are still the favourites, therefore YONEX keep making them. I bougt my carbonex about 3 weeks ago(26/09/2008). Mine is 080785SP - year 08 month 07 batch no. 85 = 080785SP Your seem to be over dated i think. As i said, maybe i'm wrong. Refer to other members here. They surely handy to help.
That is a misguided reading of the distribution code. The first two numbers are the day, followed by the month, and then the year after 2000, along with a random number that may not have a defined purpose or real significance to us. The codes look fine.
Grips have a life...they only last couple of years and will fall apart...what I am getting at is the MP 100 shows a mfg date of 2006 and when you take off the shrink wrap if the grip is old then it is maybe real...but if the grip is still good then maybe it is fake...also there is Yonex name on the shaft/grip cap in which the O is one way for real racket and different way for fake but I forget which is which......on one the O is rounded inside and the other it is squared off...
The threadstarter said that his rackets have just arrived. This could most probably mean that he bought his rackets online from an online dealer, maybe from the Asean region or Hongkong. His codes do look fine though. It's hard to tell from the pictures if they are real or fake. For your Carbonex, it's Manufactured on the 8th of July 2008. For the SP region (Asean region for Sunrise) and it's a pretty sweet deal for you! you just got yourself a 2 month old racket!! Straight off the manufacturing plants and not kept in some warehouse..
Johnny P, I agree with Smichz. No doubt! Just play focus on your game, don't bother about the genuinity issue anymore. To ArcSaber, Yes my Carbonex is so fresh when i bought, still got the that fresh smell. But now only got my hand smelly smell at the grip:crying:. BTW, CAB21SP is good racket! For 'old-school' fellow who like classical touch with that metallic hitting sound.
thanks guys for the helpful comments I guest these are real then, as for the MP100 the dealer said it was a discontinued version, as i remove the plastic cover from the grip it dose seem kinda old. i got these from eBay, the seller is badmintondeals. they are all 3U4G. string and string job is free. Arc10> BG65 23lbs MP100> BG65 23lbs AT700> BG80 24lbs
Yes,focus on ur game, but still,if it's genuine or not is ur question, then my answer is it is all genuine.
Use macro mode when taking pictures. Also consider using flash so you get the clear picture. If you don't like the flash reflection and don't like adjusting the angle to minimize it, then use a tripod without flash to get a clear picture instead.
