Ruselli Hartawan beat Ng Tsz Yau in straight-sets 21-13, 22-20. A quick match indeed and 2-0 to INA. Up next is BD.

Meanwhile, Lai Yu Hua beat Kanta Tsuneyama to make it 1-1 for TPE vs JPN. It's danger time for KOR too as Seo Seung Jae lost the first-set.

Cheam June Wei must be very relieved to have won his match 23-21 against Lin Guipu as he wasted 5 match pts at 20-15 and even had to save 1 match pt at 20-21. 1-1 for MAS vs CHN too.

INA's BD is very weak this year :( Look at how Huang Kaixiang/Zeng Siwei take the first-set easily against the MAS pair.

2-0 for THA against KOR. KOR is really in serious trouble. I think it will be THA vs INA tomorrow.

I did'nt expect Kanthapon can win over KOR BS, but so surprise all credit for him.

THA lead KOR 2:0 and Busanan will close the match.;)

So, it's INA vs THA in the SF match-up as both beat their opponents 3-0 today.

Mohd Rian Ardianto/Clinton Hendrik Kudamasa eventually beat the HKG pair 21-23, 21-15, 21-15. The Thai BD pair will definitely be a more formidable foe tomorrow.

INA will be looking to Jonatan Christie (yet again) and 2 out of the 3 double ties (most probably GD and BD) to deliver the 3 pts. GS is practically a give-away as Busanan is expected to beat Ruselli Hartawan.

JPN is closing the BD match as well to lead 2-1, while CHN is expected to wrap up their tie with GS with He Bingjiao on the court now.

SURPRISE SURPRISE!!! Akane lost the 4th tie against Lee Chia Hsin... The 5th tie will decide who will face China in the semis

Japan avoid the upset from Chinese Taipei after winning the 5th tie.

The only upset came from Korea who got upset from Thailand 0-3.

The rest of other 4th top seeds progress through to the semis, except Korea:
    INA vs THA
    JPN vs CHN

Interesting upsets in the MS and WS. Lin Guipu lost to Malaysias June Wee Cheam whom he has beaten on three occasions earlier. Then K Tsuneyama lost to the Taiwanese ms and the astonishing thrashing Akane received from the Taiwanese WS. Was she unwell? Then finally not to mention the Korean WS who beat the highly ranked Singapore WS player.
I think the Lins loss is most interesting as he has bern touted as a rising star having won thr german and Dutch junior tournaments. One would have thought he would have improved even more. He needed all his skills to best a vietnamese player who is their doubles representstive. Whats wrong with Chinas junior ms coaches?

Yup, poor result by reigning WJChamp Akane Yamaguchi who often troubling some elite players at senior stage even grabbed JPN SS last year.

Defending champion KOR failed to win any medal this time in team event, what a big surprise!

Let me guess the starting line-ups for THA vs INA:
XD - Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Puttita Supajirakul vs Reinard Dhanriano/Rosyita Eka Putri Sari - a tough match for the INA pair and THA has a slight edge.

BS - Kantaphon Wangcharoen vs Jonatan Christie - this is a match that Jonatan has to win, no other choice!

GS - Busanan Ongbumrungpan vs Ruselli Hartawan - point to THA as Busanan is at least 1-level above Ruselli.

BD - Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Kittinupong Ketlen vs Mohd Rian Ardianto/Clinton Hendrik Kudamasa - the INA BD pair has to win also and surprisingly, they had beaten the Thai pair at the AJC Individual Event!

GD - Busanan Ongbumrungpan/Puttita Supajirakul vs Rosyita Eka Putri Sari/Apriani Rahayu - a 50-50 match and hopefully with Rosyita's experience, INA can repeat last year's performance in reaching the Final!

FYI, Jonatan Christie won't play in this semifinal. The coaches has decided to choose Anthony Sinisuka instead. They think that Anthony's condition is more prepared to play in this semifinal than Jonatan's. That's what I read on PBSI press release today. Hopefully Anthony could deliver one point for INA team. :)

Seems like there's no playoff for the 3rd place, which means INA is guaranteed of a Bronze medal in the Team Event. It will be nice though to have another Final appearance.
