I know someone asked you a similar question, but can you further elaborate on how the Revelation compares to the Ultra Kevlar? Also, how do their specs compare to the Victor and Yonex equivalents? In terms of stiffness, head heaviness etc. Are there rackets you'd compare them to in feel and balance?

Currently I use a VT80, MX80 and MX90, but I'm very intrigued by these two rackets of yours.

^ Perhaps I can answer since I have those including MXJJS, 70, except 90 which just came out.

For the same specs, Revelation is much faster (more aerodynamic), more solid and a tad more power than JJS. It's slight more flexible and more accessible.

Depending on the specs chosen, you can pick one that is as hard hitting as a 3U VT80.

What do you mean by depending on the specs chosen? Do you mean 3U vs 4U? or are there other spec options on offer too? What is the head balance like of the Revelation and Ultra kevlar?

Ah, that's the wonder of Panda Power rackets... you get to choose your specs from a selection of available rackets.

So if you want one similar to your 3U VT80, pick one around 88-89g bp300mm or more.

I was typing the response but Visor beat me to it.

Anyway, check out http://www.dcbadminton.net as the info on the various models are there.

Wow, interesting. I'd probably go for 4U weight with a head heavy balance. So any other posts on the Ultra Kevlar vs the Revolution?

The U-K hasn't even shipped yet!:)

All we've got to go on so far are stiffness and materials - I didn't get a prototype this time around, sadly.

Well right now I have with me a VT80, MX JJS, BS12 and soon to be arriving MX90. Would be interesting to see how the Ultra Kevlar and Revelation compare!

Couldn't find pricing on the DC website mind, so no idea what these things go for. Value is important and one area where I think Victor and Yonex are really dropping the ball lately, at least with the European market.

Side note, any photos of the Revelation?

    Edit: Edited for spelling lol.

Revelation: $165 equiv plus customs share (if any), shipping, stringing.
Ultra Kevlar: $125 equiv plus customs share (if any), shipping, stringing.

I am the UK vendor, y'know:D.

I might have to make an enquiry for the Ultra Kevlar when it comes in. Have a feeling i'll prefer it to the Revelation due to the stiffer spec. Surprised no one has done a full and proper review yet, DSLR photography and all the rest. Maybe I might be the first lol.

If I hadn't just picked up the MX90...

There'll be a couple spare - same weight/balance as the MX90, in fact.

Just so you know, the Ultra is stiffer than the Revelation by a little bit.
BUT the new Ultra Kevlar is actually a little less stiff.

They are very different rackets according to Dink. Look at the last post on page 391 for a more detailed comparison. There are currently no play reviews of the UK yet unfortunately because the racket hasn't even shipped yet but there are a ton of Revelation reviews earlier in the thread.

Dan said the UK is inspired by the AT700. As for the Revelation, mine feels sort of like a more powerful BS10 but I think this depends on what specs you got.

Panda just got back from testing the production Ultra Kevlar in detail. For some reason, it plays better than the prototype. Panda is not quite sure why but the production UK is more powerful and more stable.

+The production Ultra Kevlar is actually a bit stiffer than the Revelation. It's a good thing as it's more powerful.

+The UK holds tension extremely well. You may want to go 1-2lbs. lower than you normally do.

Panda strung one at 30lbs. with ZM62 and it feels like 31-32, very tight and crisp; such a high pitch ping when you serve and drive.

Strung another at 34lbs. with ZM70 and it feels "near perfect"; plenty of feel and power is still relatively accessible. To maximize power, would probably have to drop to 31lbs. though, not sure about the feel, will keep you posted.

As for a comparison between the Revelation and UK, they are different:

    1) The Revelation is an all-around racket with high tech material, low mass, low footprint frame with maximum mobility and response.

    2) The Ultra Kevlar is a low tech, tried and true material with kevlar reinforcement to give you one of the most stable and strong rackets currently available.
