I feel like waiting for the next one to come out. This looks so amazing I don't know how they'll top it.
well i think they will definitely come out with newer and better VT series but notice they will never mention things like its better then the others in the series just highlighting the pros for the racket released. anyway not necessary that later model in the VT series will be alot better. alot of players still like AT700 =)
just got info from the folks at Synergy Badminton that they will be getting the VT80 in stock on Tuesday. will go and check it out after work.
well let's see if they are willing to let me take one out for demo. i don't feel like chipping out $200 at the moment.
Does anybody know where in europe this racket is as 3U version available? 4U version might too light for singles? Does anybody have experiences with a 4U racket for singles?
it all depends on the balance. i used a 4U SW35 for singles and have no problems with it. but if i use a very light headed 3U i don't think i will like it for singles.
Theoretically 4U is 'the' racket Of course if that material as claimed by yonex works and can withstand high tension and some hard hitting as well
Just try the VT80 4UG5 JP for a few hours today. First impression is smash and clear are great. And defense is not bad.(Better than AT800OF) But I think I still need some time to try, in order to give more information. I will try again tmr night.
Tried the VT80 3U4 JP today first impression is this racket is a perfect racket for single. with higher durability of the frame, this racket is a clear winner between VT80 and AT700. i can see improvement on my smashes......but still need to work on control. this racket seems flexible by flexing-the-shaft test, but during play, i can say that it`s at least as stiff as Arc8DX. this is one hell of head-heavy beast for 3U. For anyone that play double, i suggest getting the 4U as it swings faster. the head-heavy feeling is the same as when i first tried AT700. but it was 2 years ago which i might have forgotten how the feeling actually was.
Anyone noticed this from for VT80 website? http://www.yonex.com/voltric80/main.html found it funny (go under functions&details then scroll right 2 X): The sound filter is positioned at 10 and 2 o clock to reduce high pitched sound and dull waves. In turn this produces a louder and sharper sound to unsettle opponents ... What a crazy technology this is. I'll scare my opponent to death with this racquet. It shouldn't be called filter but sound amplifier.
