I recently bought a red pair of SH9000ACE's and I must say, they are the best looking shoes I've ever seen.

I've only managed to use them for one session so far but I can say that they are incredibly comfortable. They're a lot lower than my old SHB200's so the balance felt great.

In terms of movement speed, I guess it felt okay. I think the shoes still have to mold to my feet before I can experience it's maximum performance. Although, I had a cold as well so that could have been slowing me down physically and mentally.

I used an old mizuno shoe before but I don't remember which model it was. It definitely wasn't one of the top tier ones. I didn't like it at all. The shoe was uncomfortable and it lacked lateral support. Cushioning I guess was decent but all in all it felt hard. I switched them for Yonex SHB200's.

In comparison, the SH9000's are a lot more comfortable. My feet slide into the shoe with ease and after tying the laces, the shoes feel planted. The cushioning is also excellent. Jumping and moving around feels completely natural. Not much else to say in this regard.

One thing though is that the shoes feel very "structurally" strong. When moving side to side, the shoe material on top doesn't stretch or bend like my SHB200's. Probably because of that lateral support thing.

Best thing about this shoe in my opinion though is that it's very low to the ground. It feels more balanced. For example, my mizunos and yonexs had massive heels whereas the victors are low.

Also, my SH9000ACE's came with extra black shoelaces, an extra pair of insoles and a carrying bag for the shoes. Didn't expect these things at all. In comparison, my yonex shb200's were the same price but it didn't come with any of these extra's.

It wasn't actually a gift from the store or anything. All those things came inside the box. So its default from the Victor factory. Means its even better value! :D

how's these in width compared to your previous shb200's, which are supposed to be one of yonex's wider shoes (3e i think)

I think in the very beginning, my shb200's were pretty wide but after leaving them squashed in my bag a few times by accident, they became a bit thinner. So it's a bit difficult for me to compare accurately.

I would say that the SH9000ACE's can accept relatively wide feet. I've noticed that the ankle area of the Ace's are pretty wide and thus, my feet slide into the shoes with ease. I think internally, the SHB200's are marginally wider but take note, mine are almost worn to oblivion (slight exaggeration) so its shape and size might have warped.

From just looking at the Ace's, they appear to be relatively wide and low. Kind of like a lamborghini?

    Hope that helps.

Yes, I really like the yellow shoe too and the fact that the black front section wraps around. I had many people commenting and asking about it here before.

    Cheers

Why is that so? Maybe it's because less demand for the yellow shoe in UK?

When replacing my Yonex 101, I actually bought SH9000ACE-E and SH8600ACE-F at the same time and had been using both for a while now.

The SH8600 feels great, but the SH9000 feels like a completely new innovation, literally. The SH8600 feels like a great pair of shoes, but the SH9000 feels like a completely new technology - lighter, sit lower, better support, fit better, etc. It was such a wow that no break was needed, it just fit and feel right.
