Now everybody knows about it.... so they should hurry up :p

I'm not so thrilled because "wow it's zyex, I have to get it"... But I really liked my last set, which was X-1709 I guess...
So sad I never got to test how it holds tension (darn misshit)

    EDIT:
here it is, juts a little brighter than this

Yes maybe. Its also still good at the net. With all other strings I've tried (MP, NBG98,95, BG65ti) They lose tension after 3 sessions, and when you do a net shot its really hard to control because its so bouncy. You can feel the strings deform more.

But with this x-1709 string the tension is still holding after a 5 sessions with no sign of tension loss. The string bed feels alot harder when I do net shots, so its much easier to control.

Yep, that's the idea. However, all those strings you tried are softer. If you want the ultimate stiff string, go with BG80 or when Ashaway releases a 0.69mm version (0.66 in Yonex measurements) of the X1709. :D

How come that everyone says bg80 is soft and so do lots of websites? But on the packet it says they are hard.

Who says BG80 is soft? BG80 is among the stiffest, hardest strings I have ever tried.

The only way it could feel soft is if you strung it at 18lbs. or lower. :p

I concur with Master Panda DinkALot. BG-80 is a hard string!

Yesterday I received the latest beta version of Ashaway's zyex string , X1760 and X1762. I tried X60 at 27lbs. ECP on my Cab 30 and was very pleasantly surprised.

In the three hours of testing I found X60 so good I think it's just about ready for production. Will update more this weekend.

Master Yoda, do you want any to test? Please give me a holler if you do. :)

Does the Zyex string have the same design as the other ashaway strings or does it use a completely different technology?

    Dear Dinky the Panda Bear,

Can you ask Ashaway how many Zyex core in the new test badminton string? And yes, the string does perform quite well. The test one is as good as BG85 with a little softer feeling.
