Or it (2U) doesn't exist in NanoRay range [once upon a time, lower weight was considered technological advancement ] To serve as a reminder View attachment 131461
Here is a review and pictorial of the 4U in French so translators at the ready: http://matosbad.blogspot.nl/2012/09/yonex-nanoray-800-4u.html And some swingweight data from AT700 YONEX NR800 Size 3U4 heavy SW 89 84 88 84 Size 3u5 89 84 Size 4U4 83.5 82 Size 4U5 84 82 84.5 82
My French is terrible but basically the reviewer says that he likes this type if racket. It is similar to the NS9900 and 8000 (but not quite). He says it is quick like Bravesword 10 but not as stiff-- a fact he appreciates in drives and pushes. He says it is very precise (good control). As for power, I believe he is saying that it is not like a big armortec but that it can surprise if used the way it ought to be. He finishes by saying he is going to test more and add comments at a later date.I shall wait to be raked over the coals for this guess of a translation by a real polyglot. But the upshot is that those who like this type of racket will like this racket (Quelle surprise!).
It looks like I will be testing and reviewing this racket and the Arcsaber islash very soon. Can't wait. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
i just got hold of one. this thing is going to be following nr700s footstep....failure. i don't think i can put up a proper review so a comparison with other similar racket will let the reader some insight into it. im an intermediate player, tested it for 2hrs. nr800 3ug5 nbg98 25lbs ns9900s 2ug5 nbg98 25lbs ns9000 3ug5 nbg98 25lbs smash power ns9900>ns9000s>>>nr800 defense ns9000s>ns9900>>nr800 drive ns9000s>ns9900>nr800 KING OF DRIVE??? clear ns9900>ns9000s>nr800 the lack of head weight is so prominent till it almost like a ns6000. now u know why there only 9pgs for yy high end after months. it may get better after more play time but for now IT IS REALLY THAT BAD!
Today i test it out Nanoray 800 4U compare to z Force 4u. Disappointed as this new Nanoray 800 too light for me !
First batch over here were all 4U rackets. I know this will not suite me, so I've ordered the 3U-G4 one. Now I have to wait for the next batch which will be at the end of the year. First impression holding the racket is that it feels light, but not the same as the NS9900, which is the ultimate head light racket for me. Also heard from a NS9900 player that the racket did not play the same as the NS9900 and sold it already. Maybe really have to wait for the next big thing...
My "badminton brother" has acquired the NR800 (along with the NR500 and 600, and the I-Slash, incredibly), so I should be reviewing soon.
flawed? why is that so? english writing not good perhaps. not really want to bad mouth yy product but yy seems to chunk out really lousy stuff this 1-2yrs. have u tried a victor SWORD? btw i own this thing. not that i borrow fr someone and claim it is lousy and those in my bag are super 'stiff' and next day it is out in 'buy and sell'.
and do u guys notice that nr800 has the light weight words on shaft on top of head light balance. ns was never 'marked' with light weight. light weight head light racket? u sure u want one?
