For years LCW was dubbed Jaguh Kampung. Then they were saying he will never win a major, blah blah.
Pandelela, I thought she already famous ever since 2010 AG silver and CWG gold(to achieve diving gold in CWG is harder than our badminton one). Diving become higher profile since that China coach came back & raise the standards

Don't think it has to do with mentality....
Perhaps we can call it "idol/champ effect". Same thing happen when Susy & Alan won OG gold. Kids start playing baddie. Watching Ricky/Rexy smashed non-stop *whoa, very cool la*, winning tons of title including OG... Every INA kids wanna play MD. Lately, INA weightlifters keep winning medals in OG, parents start sending their kids to gym...
And in MAS case, Pandelela won bronze, people wanna know more about diving.
It's a good thing... Especially if kids finally find a sportsman as an idol or role model.

Not sure what happened, but Chan PS and Goh LY seemed really pissed on FB thanks to BAM. No wonder so many athletes fed up with BAM!

They don't really prepare or have any game plan going into local circuit. They lost to Lee Chong Wei/Vivian Hoo as well but I doubt that Lee Chong Wei/Vivian Hoo is top 20 world standard.

I didn't know some of the matches started yesterday. I thought the tournament proper only starts today.

They are good but CPS does not have a big enough smash in his arsenal...GLY is prone to silly mistakes...at this point I would even rate Poland's Robert Mateusiak/Nadia Zieba as better than them...rankings can be deceiving
