Akane is wonderful. She is very calm and polite. she made history for her nation as well as in whole world. She became the youngest among the superseries winners in both the genders. What a turnover !!!.. Good to see WS category more interesting without any domination and with fair play. Good for the sports and especially badminton.

Nonsense or not, you have proven my point. Politics takes precedence in BAM, not the players and achieving national glory. I remember PJB was once in BAM too, guess he was wise to reject the offer once again last year (or earlier this year?). Jp does cherish achievers and meritocracy. Guess where it leaves BAM?

I hope she can keep herself free from injury in the future. Everyone must have forgotten the shorty Nozomi Okuhara who has been rested for a long time after her injury during the Malaysia Open this year. Akane who lost Nozomi in last year's WJC has now won a SS title. Injury really costs Nozomi.

Z/Z vs Xu/Ma rivalry within the Chinese camp is real.

In other disciplines (eg, MD, MS), walkover/retirement among the Chinese players is much much more common. Today is the first w/o between Z/Z vs Xu/Ma. But I admit there are two retirements in their entire rivalry of three years.

a scene of destruction at the WD right now. the Danes are outclassed by the Chinese girls tactically. often left in complete formation disarray. the Chinese girls are expert at spotting the holes in the Danes now.

You are right, but the danes playing quite passively. They should come out with more initiative and attack more often. Patterson should move to front a lot more. This will set their opponent back a bit. Saw earlier in the set, Juhl is moving too slow, injury? let's see G2.

they finally found a perfect partner for MJ in WD. TJH is as cool and calm as MJ, and has the same spatial and tactical awareness. and TJH can attack even more furiously.

So, why not they have given walkover yesterday itself when they played danes??? So many matches played by xu chen would have been reduced then !!!

Because fans wanted to see Xu/Ma compete against the Danes!!

Because both Chinese and the Danes wanted to win.

this is probably the best Chinese WD pair to watch. not the outright power pair like YY/WXL. they play a smart, thinking control game.

So, who are they who bought tickets to watch today's matches??? .. Don't give unnecessary reasons which never gonna explain the walkovers given by the chinese players to their compatriots alone..
