Sun 24Aug: Total of 11 players (7 regulars + 4 guests). 4 others dropped out due to weather & other reasons. Whampoa CC badminton hall doesnt look renovated. Lighting is so so as they added fluorescent lighting (straight tubes) around the walls to brighten up the hall. At $6 per hr/court plus some transport inconvenience I prefer to play at Kallang CC instead. Kallang CC added new heavy curtains around the glass walls & doors to block out excess sunlight and added contrasting dark colors to the upper walls which helped contrast our white shuttlecocks against the white walls.
