Park Tae Sang just turned 30 late last month. He is still playing for Samsung Electromechanics and he lost to Lee Hyun Il in the team semi-final in the Spring Championship. He didn't play at the recent tournament in Andong, however, and Han Sang Hoon had to play third singles for Samsung. Park left the junior national team for the national team proper late last year.

It was reported in the Victor chinese website that there was a selection trial last week for the Korean men and women singles players who were split into two groups in their respective category. I couldnt figure out the chinese names of the Korean players in the charts below who came out tops in their groupings except Hwang Hye Youn (surprised she didnt top her group). Perhaps event can provide us with the names? Many thanks.
These are new articles showing the faces of those who just made the cut for the national team in men's singles and women's singles.
Well, the romanized names in the article you sent... MS: CHOI Ho Jin, HWANG Jung Woon, HWANG Jong Soo WS: LEE So Yeon ...are the names of the players who have been newly selected for the national team. Three of those are joining the national team for the first time ever while the fourth, Hwang Jung Woon, has been invited back. They had a round robin competition in two groups. Jang Young Soo and Park Sung Hwan were both undefeated while Hwang lost only to Park and won his other 8 matches. The other men's singles players selected were Lee Cheol Ho, Rah Yeh Wook, Shon Wan Ho, Park Wan Ho, Han Ki Hoon, Hong Ji Hoon, and Kim Sa Rang. Two teenagers - Lee Dong Keun and Park Sung Min - appear to have been dropped from the team and the new high school champion, Choi Young Woo, didn't make the cut, as he won only one match. In the women's, the players are Hwang Hye Youn, Kim Moon Hi, Bae Seung Hee, Lee Yun Hwa, Lee Hyun Jin, Wi Jin Ah, Kang Hae Won, Jang Soo Young and Sung Ji Hyun, in addition to Lee So Yeon. The big surprise there was the youngest player, 17-year-old Sung Ji Hyun, beating all but one opponent, Jang Soo Young. Sung wasn't even high school champion this summer. She lost to Eom Hye Won in the final.
That's her at the bottom of this article and this one has two more of her. Lots more in this one and one in this one.
