UNFORTUNATELY yes... He shouldnt see it that way. He should take it as an opportunity rather than being sarcastic.

Split the partnership up. It's time for those two to show their responsibility to younger players by partnering the younger guys. Give their experience to the younger guys and being up the next generation. Sudirman cup should be the starting point as a preliminary to the Thomas cup next year. Don't worry about the World Championships.

All the players need a change in mentality

Overall, Malaysian players lack fighting spirit and initiative when playing matches
They are always passive and rarely seen taking chances to attack and score points

Instead they prefer soaking up their enemies drives and smashes to rely on their defenses...

funny... I just watched that and also the highlights of the French Open against Ko/Lee. What a huge difference! Even though they also lost in that one, but they were "in the zone".

It seems as if Koo has problems with his knees so is under performing. This is having a negative affect on Tan which is bringing his game down. If Koo is falling to pieces maybe Tan should be partnered with an up and coming forecourt player.

They seem to have lost the drive for success. Something the coaching team at BAM have to address.

    KKK and TBH....

Give them all the latest tech facilities, the best rackets, the best coach in the world or whatnot... won't change a thing. Sometimes I wonder if these two have some respect to their coaches, seem doesn't want to listen during game intervals...

Maybe should let them be and let them come up with their own game plan... coaches don't need to sit at the side of the court during games. I really like to see how that works out... :D

A comment I found on youtube (probably a BC member too)

"they have to play to their strengths... koo and tan are very skilled however unless they are extremely motivated like in the 2007 All England they can't keep up to the pace of lee/jung or cai/fu.
Cai/fu are extremely aggressive and will wear down their defense. and once it goes down a few times, they get discouraged. Lee/Jung had amazing defense and extremely consistent. They'll drag the rally out, wear koo/tan down... done

their mental focus is their biggest enemy"

This was in the past. Lee/Jung not a pair anymore and Cai/Fu have not been active lately. Their opponents are the current MD players and so many pairs whom they are unable to beat.
