I was offered a 30% discount for Li-ning apparels by a coach. Is this a good offer? How much discount do you guys get in Queensway or 10&10 nowadays?

30% is quite normal nowadays in Singapore for any authorised retailer of Li-Ning. Even the Li-Ning ION boutique offer up to 20% off during promotion for certain items there.

Once i asked the shop why Li Ning apparels - 2nd gen is much cheaper now compared to their 1st gen stuff when they first break into Spore market. I was told the 2nd gen apparels are not made by Li Ning factory itself but sub-contracted out therefore they are able to bring down the cost.
Dunno true or not ? again who cares ! as long as the quality and price is good.

thanks for the info. guess i didnt bargain hard enough. went to paragon, newlink and chua beng to check on prices and was only given between 10% to 20% discounts.

if you look at the labels inside some of the apparels eg. the T-shirts with Li-ning logo, its made in Malaysia under license.

I've never seen any fake rackets here but there might be a couple of shops selling non-SP coded rackets. I definitely recommend you do a search for the following shops:
    - Artic Sports (north)
    - Classic Sports (north)
    - Chau Beng (queensway)
    - Smash Sports (east)

Normally, Yonex racquet (and many other racquet brands) in SG is cheaper than in Vietnam. If any Yonex racquet in Vietnam is cheaper, it is 99% fake. keke

I juz know Proace racquet in Vietnam is cheaper !

Navia, u are repeating yourself twice:)

But Navai is correct about Yonex badminton rackets being cheaper in sg than Vietnam.

We confirmed it as we had a ex regular who join our session on Thurs night (he is now back in Vietnam to work) said that it is dearer because of tax.

There is one in the Buy&Sell. Seller's a really nice guy and when he says mint, you can probably still smell the wax on the racket.
