You have to be a few steps ahead of your competitor to overtake them. If you wait until next year, others will improve too and it's back to square one.
If they overcome Danish and Indonesian pair, i dont see why cant they win the gold? They are upset-resistant, unlike the Chinese pairs...
It takes time to progress fren. If they can do it this year, it will be a miracle. Baring that everyone will be in full blast for the OG. Just be pragmatic. You are giving a lot of pressures to these young pair.
The important part is that they are improving and results. Hardly anybody is a champion without hard work and hard work needs time. Do you see this pair as being complacent? I see this pair as being one of the pairs with an outside chance of an Olympic medal because of their rate of improvement. I watched them 2 years back in HK Open and thought they were pretty good already.
they can become good when they can beat ZN/ZYL, Tontowi/Butet, JP/CP, LYD/partner..... so far did they manage to beat anyone of them yet??
The Star Online > Sports Sunday May 6, 2012 Liu Ying chooses victory over love on the court JOHOR BARU: It is not easy for mixed doubles star and Olympic Games-bound Goh Liu Ying to play in a match with her boyfriend on the opposing side. But on Friday, Liu Ying hardly showed any emotion as she stuck to her game plan to combine with Chan Peng Soon and beat Ong Jian Guo-Lim Yin Loo 21-14, 23-21 in the quarter-finals of the Malaysian Open Grand Prix Gold. Liu Ying has been together with Jian Guo for almost five years but only now is she ready to open up about their relationship. “Fortunately, we do not really play against each other that often in a tournament although we train together regularly,” said a giggling 22-year-old Liu Ying. “I am very focused on the court and usually, I do not give in to any form of distraction – even if it is my boyfriend.” Liu Ying and the 23-year-old Jian Guo hail from Malacca. They used to travel together in a car driven by either one of their parents during their junior days from Malacca to Kuala Lumpur for training and competitions but they hardly spoke to each another. Cupid only struck after the duo completed their Form Five studies at the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS). Yesterday, with the soft-spoken Jian Guo cheering her on, Liu Ying did well to reach one final in the home tournament. She and Peng Soon defeated Indonesians Riky Widianto-Puspita Richi Dili 21-18, 21-18 to set up a meeting with another Indonesian pair Fadhilah Irfan-Anggraini Weni. Earlier, Liu Ying and Yin Loo lost 18-21, 14-21 to top seeds Shinta Mulia Sari-Yao Lei of Singapore in the women’s doubles event in 37 minutes. http://thestar.com.my/services/printerfriendly.asp?file=/2012/5/6/sports/11241176.asp&sec=sports Finally Ah Ying goes public abt her love life though many fans already know abt it

Heh... it'll be a different story if LCW had partnered with Vivian Hoo as they did in the Selangor Open.
http://www.sinarharian.com.my/sukan/peng-soon-cedera-1.53947 CPS's right arm injury. Hopefully he can recover in time for OG
Chan/goh lost to Thais again... this shows danger for them if they draw with the thais in the same group stage in olympics...
