Black Gold is a grade higher than Titanium, similar to No.1 ... therefore quality is slightly higher than Titanium...
By the way, where did you get them? o.0
You might wanna try Black Silver next time, grade and price in between Titanium and No.1/ Black Gold.

Give up on RCL brand, no matter how high end it's the model, the quality barely last. I would suggest Protech (masterpiece) or S. Arrow (Gold) at your place (whichever cheaper).

Note: I just rearranging my used shuttlecock for training and found mostly S.Arrow/Protech intact with all feathers for training purposes. RCL has very little (or less to nil) that is able to re-used as training, mostly feathers broke de. Same gang of people playing and same venue/sytle and I talking about several tubes.

To me, RCL lower end shuttles are not that durable. But those from RM50 onwards are quite durable. I can play up to 3 games with 1 shuttle, which I consider not bad (Have to say I am not a professional player, just a normal player like most people in this forum). I never play with Protech (though I heard not bad but the quality up and down), but S.Arrow not that durable.

I seldom see RCL shuttle feathers broke for higher end shuttles though I do see some out of shape after 3 games. Anyway, I seldom use for training (not a professional player), just for warm-up, so a little bit out for shape is ok for me.

Maybe those below RM50 are not that durable.
Protech Masterpiece is good but the quality seems to be up and down throughout the years.
Some barely last 1 game as well.
What I can say is Protech World Class is betta, but of coz, more costly.
I had tried S. Arrow before, both Gold and Green tube.
I was told they are good, not until they barely last for the whole 15pts game.
This is not one shuttle I am talking about, but the few tubes sent to me by the distributor.

I tried RSL, RCL and Aeroplane. Here is how I rate them in terms of durability and flights.

    1) Aeroplane Black
    2) RCL Black Gold and RSL Tourney Classic XL[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]

    My 5cents worth.

Bought 2 tubes of RCL Sigma Gold (speed 77) from JB

Tried a tube fresh (after breaking seal) and the other after "steaming". Each shuttle would last atmost 2 smashes only.

    Group average level is intermediate.

I stay in SG, previously i am using Protech MP and out of curiousity, I bought 1 tube of RCL De Best to try out, and surprisingly, my friends and fellow players like it alot and inform me not to use other shuttles any more. Hence i will become a RCL supporter from now on.

But from the shop that i bought from, they only have RCL De Best and RCL Gold. there is no RCL titanium. Is there anyone here knows where can i get RCL Titanium in JB?

Where do the RCL Titanium, RCL No. 1 and RCL DeBest Shuttlecocks stand within these 5 five stated below ?

Are the ranking by RCL based on PRICE ?

RCL Titanium, RCL DeBest(not so sure) = RCL Black No.1
RCL No.1 = RCL Black Gold

Ranking are based on their quality and material, hence the price difference.

Thank you for clarification. I hav to say that RCL got too many models and cofuses the hell out of buyers.

So top 5 RCL shuttles (new and old names) are:

    1) Black Gold = RCL No. 1
    2) Black Silver
    3) Black No. 1 = RCL Titanium = De Best
    4) Gold No. 1 (currently using)
    5) Silver No. 1

Actually, RCL still have RCL Pearl & RCL Platinum Gold, which are rather good in their quality too. But have no idea where they stands inside the chart. lols

    Please confirm:

    1) RCL Black Gold = goose feathers
    2) RCL Black Silver = goose
    3) RCL Black No. 1 = duck
    4) RCL Gold No 1 = duck

    1) Is that correct ?
    2) What is the current price in the market ? I heard prices went up recently again :(
