Thomas Cup never been away from Indonesia for more than 10 years until now. I think INA have a chance in 2014.

Sometimes, you never know, some young talent can suddenly appear. Mia Audina shot to fame in Uber Cup when she was so young.

But for this year, nothing yet

Identical scorelines from Riky Widianto/Richi Dili Puspita for the past 2 matches: 21-11, 21-19. They are now through to the QF, facing Kim Dae Eun/Ko A Ra. I think a good chance for them to reach the SF and test Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying. A QF appearance here already brings them just outside of the top 60 in just 6 tourneys as they confirm their status as INA's most promising XD pair!

I am also surprised by Irfan Fadhilah/Weni Anggraini's victory over Tan/Lai in straight-sets. So, they have now quietly risen to the top 40 and perhaps their partnership could be kept if they continue to perform well this year! I also think they have a good chance against Mohd Razif Abdul Latif/Amelia Alicia Anscelly, who avenged their loss to the WJC winner Alfian/Gloria.

As for Alfian/Gloria, no shame in losing considering this is their 2nd senior tourney. They need more exposure against senior players.

In MS, the only prediction I missed was Vito's match as he lost to Goh Soon Huat.

    MS R16
    Tommy Sugiarto
[3] vs Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin - again, Tommy should beat Iskandar.

Sony Dwi Kuncoro vs Nguyen Tien Minh [2] - Sony did well to reach R16 but I doubt he can beat the Vietnam player. Sorry...but R16 will be the limit for Sony.

actually i really want to see Agri/Markus remain as a pair...
they are quite fun to watch....
combination between Agri awesome skill with Markus wild work....
and then, they do some funny act sometimes...

but i still consider that they are lack of experience....
need more tourney to polish them in many big matches to be a good pair...

tough match with fuzzy pair now :)

They can't be splitted, since they are already independent. More like change partner :D
Ong Soon Hock has went independent thats why I guess.

Good start by our WD pair, since Singaporean WD pair is quite strong. They are now trailing 8-11 in 2nd set interval against SHinta Mulia/Yao Lei, hope they could seal the 2nd set, & progress to the next round.

Similar to Ulin/Ricky and Rahmat/Berry, the tendency is for INA pairs to explode in the first-set, before fading in the second and third-sets. I don't expect Gebby/Tiara to win.

Wowow, Chooi/Ow is losing to Vietnamese top pair. I still think that Chooi KM is not up to the mark...

The more experienced Fuzzy pair takes the match in straight-sets. So, all the 4 young MD back-up pairs are eliminated by R16. One more left in Rendy/Afiat.

The signs in the third-set are pointing to a victory for the top-seeded SIN pair.

Apparently not, as Vivian/WKW have retired. This might explain their poor run of form lately.
