    always lighter, never headlighter?

might be because I never tried 5U rackets (except the headheavy superlights from sotx) but the w5a and w6 definatly feel headlight, same for the ns7k
(though with length and weight, it's hard to isolate one property)

Both...that's the trend these days, at least for Yonex. Yonex leads and then others follow.

I tried a few Hi-Quas, I don't remember exactly the model numbers, hence the delay. I will need to get them back...I only have "approximate" remarks for them. In general, overall, they are average to good; good to good+ for the money. Of the rackets I tried, none would get an excellent rating.

U should have tried NS9000-S 2U NS9000-X 2U and 3U AT900s. They will be better than excellent for you. Especailly 2U NS9000-X, it is a very powerful racket with good defence and excellent control IF U HAVE ENOUGH POWER.

They are not available in the U.S. That's why I didn't test them.

For me the X in 3U already doesn't have good defense and excellent control (it's decent for the power but not great), so I'm confident the 2U will only be worse. This is relative to all the rackets. It maybe good relative to 2U rackets but certainly can't compare to the likes of an AT800-DE (for instance).

I just happend to see the review ..I know might sound silly but cant help wondering we have more rackets from the rsl and sotx brand marked as excellent than Yonex..do tell me then why are ppl obessed wiht yonex when they so mcuh more expensive .Is their one defining factor for ppl to choose yonex..over to any other brand

because Yonex exists relatively long, has good marketing and pumps millions in sponsorships. Yonex is the best known brand, most readily available brand, and still makes good stuff (allround: good arckets, bags, shirts, shuttles, everything)

No Sir Dink has a temple and a grave for the racquets that went to heaven.
