Perhaps LYD made such a drastic change in his preference of Racket specs(shaft stiffness, balance, etc) because he has to take on more rear-court responsibilities as JJS has his shoulder injury. Personally, I noticed JJS is spending a lot more time around the net in the 2012 Victor Korea Open, while LYD was doing a lot more smashes from the rear. Pity, he still can't match up with JJS in terms of smash efficiency Food for thought.
Doubtful. I personally don't think he's ever played with an off-the-shelf BS09, considering it appears any KRP can spec any racket however they like. People's games progress and change, and the Pros are even more adaptable than us mortals - notice LCW using a new racket, LD changing rackets about 3 times in one tournament, and even FHF changing to a C7 midway through the KO SS final. It makes sense for me to see someone like LYD have a progression in racket style and stiffness as he gets older and this game changes and he gets stronger. I don't think he would base the specification on a signature racket based on his partners injury.
True, after all, JJS did hit his usual bombs in that match. Doesn't seem to be hindering him that much after all
Saw this web it's selling already.. Wowhttp://www.bts-sportshop.com/Badminton-Schlaeger/Victor/Victor-Brave-Sword-LYD.html
I think in Malaysia should be able to get it at us180 if available base on 30 to 35% discount on retail price.. But I'm more interested in bs15 hehehe looks cool
If the price in asia is going to be around 180$, then I really should consider to buy in Germany... (I could get the racket without the Germany tax (19%!), which really matters.)
Its for sale now at a shop in Taiwan. USD155 plus USD20-25 for global shipping. However the BS15 is only USD150 including string and shipping.
I'm actually having a really good time with my Kason C7 at the moment, so I'm holding off until I eventually crack. I'm going to get a LYD and make a string stencil that says GOOD, and get the BS15 and put EVIL on it.
not sure if this was posted before. the racquet has been launched in Taiwan islandwide in January 2012. http://www.victorsport.com.tw/IMAGE2012/BRS-LYD_NP/list.html
I think it is only available in the two concept stores in January. Available islandwide around March. http://www.victorsport.com.tw/news-contents.php?id=XaST89pmQw5GHegKr0WgqUfgqMjOPZ
