    Yes, it's not too bad.

But I think he has too much respect for WWK. :D:D:D

Gavin Ho is very young. He could participate in the Australian Open for the next 15 years, if he is interested to do so.

Fatigue could play a part in Tommy's defeat. He was travelling CGK-KUL-CGK-SYD last weekend and played both matches in the Axiata Cup.

    .
The results of last 2 matches on Day 1 were quite expected.

    * Sony Dwi Kuncoro [INA] easily defeated Rowan Henderson [AUS] 21-04, 21-06 in 18 minutes.

    * Daren Liew [MAS] easily defeated Daniel Guda [AUS] 21-05, 21-09 in also 18 minutes.

Many Australian players participate in the Australian Open just for the experience

    It's not a surprise that they could lose 21-0, 21-0. :D:D:D

Thanks Chris. Yes, I will post updates here. As a matter of fact, I was a line judge for Chen Jin's match - I was doing the sideline furthest from the umpire. I gave an out call on one of the early points in the first game - he turned around with a surprised 'huh' apparently in disbelief that he hit out this early in the game. Anyway, the first game was soon Chen Jin's, but then Lin Yu Hsien rallied back and took the second. The third game was actually tighter than the score suggests but eventually Chen Jin got his act together and managed to start getting the points going his way.

Yes, that's right. I did the line judging for his game and was really sorry for Ernest. Actually it was quite a bit embarassing because Ernest gave so many points away - returns of serve into the net, deep corner lifts that he thought was out, but were a foot inside. I think it was nerves - but he really needs to work on his footwork - this was patently obvious - anyway Takuma was trying really hard not to give any points away.

In table tennis, the winner will usually give a diplomatic point.
So no one goes home with a zero, lol.

With LXR's pull-out(I daresay she's in a class of her own here),the tournament is thrown wide open - Han Li,Wang Lin,Inthanon R, Tai TY,Sung JH,Cheng SC and one or two surprise finalists(Mitani,Yao Xue,Goto,Gu Juan?)

For MS, Chen Jin,Sho Sasaki,Taufik are my favourites to take the title.
