Yes I agree 100% with this. With the rackets I have the bp shifts according to what visor has put. I only have pink/white/blue grips tho so someone else has to do a test with the other colors.

I have just about all the colors of elite over grips (for my badminton store). If you guys would like, I could measure their weight for you all.

Actually, it'd be best if you could wrap each one up on the handle and measure the bp shift, relative to white. This way is more sensitive and accurate than weighing each colour individually because most weigh scales are only sensitive and accurate to 0.5g which is not good enough for our purposes.

Weighing them would give an indication as well mind. In-fact, just holding a White Elite grip, and then holding a Red Elite grip, I can actually feel the weight difference just in the palm of my hand. Very strange. Hope someone measures yellow soon :)

Those are some pretty sensitive hands to differentiate a 2 gram difference. For that matter I'm grabbing some yellow grips instead of red now that I've heard about this. That and I like yellow grips anyway =)

Not really. There is a noticeable difference. Are you sure the difference is only 2 grams? I'm talking about the entire grips still in the pack mind, not on the end of a racket.

Yes, someone weighed them red 9g, white 7g. I sincerely doubt you can distinguish 2g difference with your hands.

To test yourself, try doing it with your eyes closed. Shuffle the two colours between the 2 hands and see if you can consistently tell which is red or white. No peeking!

    here are the measurements!

i don't have large amount of grip so the quantity being weighed varies. but it should give a good indication.

    purple: 8.51g
    red: 9.01g
    pink: 8.35g
    green: 9.66g
    black: 8.17g
    gray: 8.72g
    white: 7.7g

i don't have any yellows. Janet took them all!

    so there you go. :)

green is the heaviest at 9.66 grams while white is the lightest at 7.7 grams

Just did a blind test. Out of 5 tries (sometimes I question my own sanity) I guessed which was red every time. Either I have very sensitive hands or it really is noticeable. It's a marginal difference but you can tell, just try it yourself now Visor :)

Awesome work Kwun, but no yellow :(

Btw kwun, did you make sure that the grips were fully on the weigh pan and did not rest on the sides of the scale? A few grips appear to be awfully close in those pics.
