    It's not about how matches they each play...just observe and evaluate WSX's game alone against Fanetri

    It was very bad display of shots . If I am LYB, i wont send her to the Olympics to be honest.

    14 years ago, the general manager came to our site. Someone asked him if he has any plan to shut down our lab. He said absolutely not in the near future. 2 months later, he shut down our lab. :( :)

    This is what we normally encounter at professional football clubs. The owner/board tells the manager he has the backings and within a few days/weeks, he is fired.

    Well Wang Shixian together with Wang Xin became one of the few singles players who have actually won all major team events in badminton.

    Asian Games
    Sudirman Cup
    Uber Cup

    Wang Shixian however is not going to London this time.. Her expression says she conceded defeat

    Based on Uber Cup line-up, WYH, WX and LXR are moving 1 step closer to go to London. The only chances left for WSX going to London are the 3 tournaments in South East Asia.

    Thanks for the info. Yes I suppose she is not going to Olympics after all. Her poor performance against Fanetri sealed her fate.

    However, I wouldnt really write her off yet. We may see her again in Rio 2016

    I am not sure what i have been reading lately....probably idiots mistranslating/misinterpreting statements in mandarin media to post as their own source.

    I heard somewhere after Uber Cup 2012 victory, Wang Yihan said CBA should allow Wang Shixian to compete in the Olympics as well but didnt state on what grounds. Does she even have the right be that vocal to a CBA or to the extent of making such statement without the permission of the coaches ?

    Hmm. The article didn't mention anything about CBA let WSX complete in the Olympics. It mentioned that WSX begged LYB to let her play in the Uber Cup final, but LYB refused.

    It also mentioned that Zhang Ling asked WSX to play more attacks but not accepted by WSX because she thought it's not her style.

    Exactly,if WSX had listened to Zhang Ning and underwent special training for it, she wouldn't be in this sorry plight today. How could a WR3,not long ago WR1, be overshadowed by LXR who suddenly shot up so fast in the last 2-3 months? Apart from saying it's due to LXR's meteoric rise, WSX herself is in considerable part to be blamed when the signs are clear more and more of her opponents are able to read her game - as when they are not afraid to lift the shuttle to her knowing she seldom smash, and anticipating her slices and cross-court returns as well as punch clears 90% of the time.

    Is not seldom smash, but she doesn't smash at all . Her half court kill and simple netkill end up hitting the net. Very mediocre indeed
