So whats the best pu grip available for people with really sweaty hands, who don't want to use the grip powder or anything else.

I would say the Karakal Super PU but it's more of a replacement grip, very thick and expensive and hard to get.

If you have really sweaty hands/arms, even the best grip alone will not help after the sweat soaks in. You need a combination of one or more to even all five items I have listed.

I find the karakal super pu's don't do it for me.

I currently use monsoon towel grip but have been experimenting with yonex grap & Ashaway grip powder.

I find the racket more powerful and responsive using the pu, as long as the grip is dry.

The towel grip is more consistent overall though

What colour of Karakal Super PU did you try? I've tried the black and the grey and noticed that the black is tackier and more absorbant than the grey.

tried black, grey, red, yellow plus duo's. I bought a box of them because the factory grip I got on my karakal sl-70 was good. But the box I bought were rubbish, I was changing the grip everytime I played.

Tried out the yonex grap with ashaway grip powder yesterday. It was rubbish, it should be called "slip powder". I'm back with the towel grip now.

Most of the sweat on your hands actually comes from your wrist and above (your arm). And it drips down, to your hand. Once I added a sweatband, I reduced about 50% of my sweatiness. You should try it, can't hurt. :D

this is really useful. I had a wristband on my racquet hand instead of the left & clearly my palms were much dryer & forearm was wet.

i thought Karakal was slippery but i was wrong. PU Super is still the best i've tried so far. I'm sticking to the cat. :D

Not 100% related to the topic but similar is for those who wear specs and tend to sweat from the head. You will notice that your vision is blur because of the sweat which can cause fogging of the lens.

What you can do is to wear a headband and this is the best out there in the market http://www.haloheadband.com

For normal headband, once it is saturated with sweat, it won't be able to absorb more sweat and the sweat starts dripping and it stinks your eyes. This headband has a rubber strip that directs the sweat away from your eyes, it really does work !

For those in Singapore, this is available from Running Lab and cost around S$23 (forgot actual price).

I've been plagued by this problem, towel grips would be great for the first day or so, too slippery afterward.

I've tried basically all of the grips in Panda's first post, Gamma and Volkl worked okay for me, though both ended up getting slippery after a few games.

What seems working best for me is Tournagrip, most commonly seen as a light purple grip in tennis shops. Surprisingly absorbent for a non-towel grip it remains very tacky, the only issue is its durability. I find I have to change it after about 8-10hrs of play. I know Tennis Warehouse carries them, at pretty reasonable prices $35 after shipping for 30 grips.

Yeah, Tournagrip and Tournatac are meant to be the absolute best for wet hands. However, I've heard they can make your hands blister if it's not wet enough.

I purchased a GUTR Head Band and though it does channel sweat away, it goes to the back of your neck and around your ears. And if you pour like this Panda, it's very uncomfortable, not to mention gets on the ground.

I'm in agreement with Teoky, the www.haloheadband.com is the best I've tried and I've tried just about all of the headbands available. Once it gets saturated, just go to a water faucet and soak it very quickly, twist dry, soak again, twist dry and it's basically ready to go again. There's a bit a dampness but it's not a big deal.

If there's no water available, you can just twist dry and continue to use it. You'd be amazed how much water the Halo Head Band can soak up.

Finally, the best headband for all out absorbing sweat is the Under Armour thick basketball type headband. It looks very similar to the one LeBron James wears. The UA headband soaks up every last ounce of sweat, the only problem is it gets heavy very quickly and is very puffy/cumbersome looking.

Finally, I always keep 3 or 4 headbands ready for use...just in case.

I thought it was a funny reason to grave dig as well....but, I'm glad he did. I happen to sweat to the point where it looks like I've been swimming in my badminton clothes so some of the tips in this thread were actually of interest to me.

How are these grips compared to RKEP grips like the G08, G16, G03, G06 and so on?
