True. And thats what I meant by not underestimating unknown Europe players. Just hope ZZ doesnt end up with a 'big head' like Daren Liew.
Nah, not convinced by Zulfadli at all. Show results before talking about wanting to be in some squad. AJC and WJC is nothing compared to a senior itle. Viktor is already way ahead of him and Zul has to play catch-up.
Nothing is special for ZZ last night. The smash is weak , the defend is so-so. No game plan- just follow his oponent playing ! More or less his playing style is similar to Mohd. Arif. Hope he won't end up like Arif.....
Stilian MAKARSKI was playing better . Hahaha... Some BCers thought that ZZ would sure to win in Round 2 of the 2012 Swiss Open (against Stilian MAKARSKI); http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/draw.aspx?id=D911EE9B-0A12-487A-8EA2-71660C6C7BE6&draw=1 But it was not to be. Stilian MAKARSKI was playing better than ZZ at this tournament. .
well, this is ZZ's first europe GP tournament, sure he not use to it, while Axelson played more tournament than ZZ, therefore ZZ need to be sent more tournament in order to gain experiences, or else he will lack behind just like the back up players...
i have always believed that its not his time yet. .if he has to lose.. let him lose matches now rather than later.. i think he is not better or worse than axelson.. only different. Yeah he could go the way of the other malaysian 2nd tier ms players . .but then again he may not. I say give him time. He is not a hafiz hashim where time is running out. the pressure on him to perform is greater than, say iskandar or liew daren or arif... or chong wei fung which is a good thing. the others never had that kind of pressure and they languished.
The problem with ZZ is he does not possess any killing weapons - like LCW, LD, CL etc.. You can improve your experience, your skills, match temperment ... but without killing weapons, you just can't be the top player.... look at LCW - solid defend, smooth footsteps, unpredictabkle drop shots, good net play, trademark cross court smash... LD, CL solid smash and can suddenly inject the pace, good defend etc... So ZZ has to start develop killing weapons now......
Comparing Zulfadli to Viktor . Comparing Zulfadli to Viktor, Viktor has entered in more tournaments than Zulfadli. Currently, it's not a surprise that Viktor has more experience (and performing better) than Zulfadli. .
where is zulfadli? he withdrawed from vietnam and hendrawan say he is not with them so he disappeared?hehe vacation in bali?hehe
Ya lor...Hendrawan said ZZ went to Vietnam but no match? Will he compete in Finnish IC? This whole Axiata thing seems to be a bit of wasted time to ZZ, if he compete in Viet IC much more rewarding, can get points ma...
Zulfadli has arrived at his highest ranking (at 110th) this week . No idea what happened to Zulfadli in Vietnam. Anyway, in the world ranking list just released this week, Zulfadli has arrived at his highest ranking (at 110th). Source: http://bwfcontent.tournamentsoftwar....aspx?id=4CB96652-D91F-4559-8443-6F079336D333 .
haha, ya. Zul is supposed to go Aust GP next week. Maybe Zul will come back early for the 1st leg. Personally,I prefer they put Iskandar, its time Iskandar step up, Zul long way more to go. He has better chance against Hayom or Vito, if by then Msia have not lost
Zul is indeed promising. he just needs to develop his speed & power..Relying on rally & stamina alone can't help too much on today fast interchange games.
Not a surprise that Zulfadli was too nervous . Currently, Zulfadli ZULKIFFLI is ranked World No.110, and Dionysius Hayom RUMBAK is World No.23. Not a surprise that Zulfadli was too nervous. http://bwfbadminton.org/page.aspx?id=14955 .
A good embarrasing experience. All great players have their embarassing moments.Hopefully he will learn from this and not during big events. 100% concentration is needed. Seems not interested.
Well said But the beat up Leopards still fork out some money from Axiata right? Not so 'rugi'....Downright embarrassing yes, but rugi? Not so much.
this maybe his first time playing with the better and experienced player that played several tournament such as SS...
