    WoW, now it's LCW's conditioning, really?! Have you seen LCW, I think he must be like 2 or 3% body fat! The only time I've ever seen LCW breathing hard is against LD, because both of them have incredible conditioning.

    It's not that LCW is not willing, he might just not be able to beat LD consistently enough to satisfy the unrealistic expectations that Malaysian fan's have of their Datuk.

    Give the guy a break, I mean if it weren't for LCW, I wouldn't even know Malaysian loved badminton so much. As for Bam, I'm still awaiting an answer to where you think LCW has an advantage over LD?

    Lol, isnt that the usual stuff the BAM big wigs will do? After LCW retire, you just wait & see what excuse they will give for players non performance esp MS dept.I personally hope Zulfadli will do well in senior stage to shake up the "sitting on collective thumb" types in BAM management.;):p

    So let me get this straight. If LD was from Malaysian and LCW was from China, LCW would have won the Olympics, 4 World Champs and have a head to head of 20 something to 8? Also the reason for this lopsided head to head is because CBA has so many more advantages over BAM, and not that LD happens to be freak of nature?

    Maybe you should tell your Datuk to spend more time with Nicol David? :)

    I'm surprised that you said this.

    BAM (actually more the coaches and those who are recruited to assist him) would have
    done well to have identified the problem for LCW. But have they? Is it just a matter of fitness - speed and stamina, deficiency in mental strength, etc. If so this should not be too difficult to overcome.

    Or the main issue is LCW himself?

    My point is whether the real problems have been identified.
    If so, those involved in LCW's welfare would have found the answers by now and LCW would have shown much better progress.

    :D:D:D If Nicol David is to give advice to LCW, she would probably tell him to move to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to train (just like what she has done).

    Question: BAM (actually more the coaches and those who are recruited to assist him) would have done well to have identified the problem for LCW. But have they?

    Loh, don't get me wrong; I am not saying that the coaches in BAM are not good enough.

    What I am saying is: Because coaches employed by BAM know that BAM is formed and managed politically, the coaches would only say things what BAM like to hear.

    The coaches that have said things that BAM don't like to hear, often leave BAM when their contracts get expired, like Li Mao, Misbun Sidek, Cheah Soon Kit, Yap Kim Hock, etc, etc, ......

    Question: Or the main issue is LCW himself?

    Even LCW cannot say much against BAM. If he wants to say anything against BAM, LCW would be getting ready to leave BAM too (just like those coaches who have left BAM in the past).

    Don't change the subject. :eek::eek::eek:

    What I meant was Nichol would probably tell LCW to get away from politics; And keep sport purely as sport.

    No, train overseas, not in Msia. Nicol David progressed better after she shifted her base to overseas, less pressure & uneccesary distraction from the politicians. From association ones to ministers, up to Prime Minister. But no matter what, squash is still not OG sport, the magnitude of the pressure is still less.
    Why you think the track cycling team were told by their coach not to speak to the media until after their event over(for major events like CWG, Asian Games). Track cycling is another sport which train overseas- Australia. Imagine, train in Aust also they feel the pressure, badminton, no need say.:D The other OG sport earmarked as medal potential for Msia is diving. OG still 8 months away, Pandaleela already feeling the heat of pressure of London OG, thank goodness they sometimes train in China.

    No, no. Nichol is good therapy for LCW. She will help him to relax. Get into something different from baddy for a while. Enjoy himself to refresh and turn into a new man.

    I wonder whether LD is now a new man...

    ...very expensive... at taxpayers' expense and very likely will not bring back Olympic medals.

    Now, you are talking about money. :eek::eek::eek:

    If money can buy Olympic GOLD medals, then the Olympic Dream of many poorer nations may want to challenge your debate. Also, Singapore (being richer than Malaysia) should do better than Malaysia.

    And let's have a look at Jamaica at the Olympics;

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamaica_at_the_Olympics

    Just look at the Medal tables that Jamaica have achieved.

    why don't you bring the statistics of much richer countries too?..

    and still we don't know how much Jamaica really has invested for the Olympics, don't we??...

    whatever it is, the role of the money is undeniable even talent comes first...and even talent can be wasted without financial injection ;)

    Really? LCW should train overseas? Where?

    Train overseas for squash, diving and cycling make sense because other countries have the upper hand in terms of experience, coaching, training facilities, programme, etc, hence the demand to send them overseas to raise the standard of those sports in MAS, and don't say it is totally a waste for taxpayers. MAS got Nicol David in the end for squash, and the athletes for track cycling and diving able to raise their abilities to at least compete with more dominant countries, whether or not they able to get medal (be patient and support them la). But badminton? Where should LCW go? China? I can imagine LYB and the rest, especially LD and CL visit LCW at training centre somewhere in China to watch LCW train. Denmark? Indonesia?

    I do remember that LCW loved the training sports center in Bath, England. BAM sent the players there (was it 10 days?) before WC, and the cost was about RM54,000 if Im not mistaken. Should he go there then? A month before Olympics?
