Care to share the PP's stringing pattern? Just the gotcha's ie. tie main at B8, cross start from B9, skip A8 etc
Thanks to dimcorner's awesome panda image i attempted to create my own stencil. Used red stencil ink.
There is room for another cross at B8 (with mains tied at B7), like on the Victor rackets. I always use it, and I do top-down.
Not an experienced stringer (yet?) as I only string for personal use, but last night I used yonex "other" pattern at the bottom of this page: http://www.yonexusa.com/displaycat.cfm?catid=14. It's bottom-up for crosses & when I reach the top cross, space is quite tight compared to AT800D (which isn't the easiest to string :crying. We're probably using the same pattern just different starting point. Will use it this Friday. If it feels good, I'll stick to it . Edit: didn't read properly - I started cross from B9!
Hi Panda Any news on the Revelation? Played with a woven racquet abd very much looking forward to getting my hands on the Panda version.
ZM62 (Original): Anyone interested in the original, first generation ZM62? Panda uses the current ZM62 at 31lbs. and the original is comparable (actually more crisp) at only 27lbs.! Check the Buy/Sell or e-mail Panda directly, thanks. Revelation: yes, have 10 prototypes coming in different weights and BPs. 5 are woven frame, regular shaft, 5 are woven frame and shaft.
I can't imagine how much better it can play... the P Pro is already a most impressively excellent doubles racket! I just love how the bird crisply explodes off the stringbed.
Does someone knows when PPro will be available again? im so desperate to get 2-3 more after buying one to try...
Like all consummate performers Dinkalot does a great job and then always leaves his audience thirsting for more.
I think the PPro will be on my wishlist (along with the N90) for next year's racket purchases. Unless the Revelation surpasses the PPro.
You should probably decide whether a stiff or medium shaft suits you better - while I haven't had a chance to test the PPro, reviews are very positive indeed. And while the Revelation PT is excellent, it's (probably) a pretty different racket than the PPro. For me, it would be a decision of control vs. power, the medium stiff Revelation being more powerful than a really stiff racket like the PPro, and since I can always get more control with greater string tensions, I'd take the Revelation over the PPro. Keep in mind that the Revelation's "medium" differs from the Yonex or Victor "medium". While I can just feel the Revelation bend on big smashes, I can feel the BS12 bend (at least) just as much on round-the-head wrist-smashes. Panda's medium is more like Yonex' "stiff" (as my Rev is stiffer and way more stable than the ZS, which is labeled stiff)... Also, the Revelation still needs to get finalized so let's see if you actually get that choice soon
According to some of you guys, the PPro seems to be pretty stiff. Would it be safe to say that the PPro and the Victor Bravesword 10 are similar rackets in terms of specs? (stiffness, balance, frame...) If anyone is lucky enough to have tried both Thanks
