I think grounding them [I assume Rian-Yoke, Pia, Greysia-Nintya etc.] for some weeks [I assume 2-3 months] is not actually a punishment... :p It is more like a reasonable timeframe until the next realistic tournaments for players of their calibre... I mean: Philippine Gold GP, then Indonesian Open SS, then Thailand Gold GP... ;)

They most likely won't play in the Sudirman Cup anyway... Maybe as backup pairs...

What about the 2 next GP Gold level tourney? (ABC and India Open). That should be right up their alley....(well maybe not for Pia)

i think its worse than jst under-achievement...its the whole organization, regeneration, sponsors (MONEY!!!), attitudes, coach-player relationship (as acted by kido & siblings), player-player relationship (kido-hendra)...i think jst about everything is going wrong in Cipayung...:(

Players have been registered for India Open (the second-stringers), while for BAC, the non-participation will be their "punishment".

    Wake up INA!

MS: Taufik gone, Not more improvement from Simon and Sony? I thought Sony can be a real threat against LD.
    WS: What's problem with Kristin?
MD: Setiawan should quickly find his new partner as INA is full of back-court smashers.
WD: no more successors after Vita/Liliana?
XD: Widianto getting weaker. Why Flandy plays with RUSian girl?

Very critical moment for INA badminton to continue its reputation in world badminton. Need new generation! :)

    a. Febe withdrew from Romania due to sickness
    b. in ABC, it seems only Kido/Hendra, Vita/Flandy, not sure abt Alvent/AG
Too late for Djarum players to register this tourney....

we may see more INA players in Vietnam Challenge...

A wise decision. Flandy/Anastasia might well rise to top 20 by end of the year. That's not a bad result for a mix-n-match partnership. They're already top 60 in just 4 tournament participation!

They might even win some titles if they compete in the European International-Challenges events.

    Updated rankings for INA players:
    MS
    5. Sony Dwi Kuncoro
    7. Taufik Hidayat
    8. Simon Santoso
    20. Andre Kurniawan Tedjono

    WS
    18. Maria Kristin Yulianti
    21. Adriyanti Firdasari
    33. Pia Bernadet Zebadiah

    MD
    1. Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan -- back to WR1
    9. Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan
    11. Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki-- incredibly, Rian/Yoke have their best ever ranking, despite some setbacks. Of course, they will drop back top 16 after the pts from India Open are taken out.
    27. Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie
    54. Wifqi Windarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan
    58. Hendra A. Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra -- in just 4 tourneys, top 60, so, I will expect top 20 by the end of the year.
    141. Candra Wijaya/Joko Riyadi -- should be able to reach top 90 with a SF finish at the India Open GP Gold next week.

    WD
    9. Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati
    25. Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii -- should be able to break top 16 by end of the year.

    XD
    1. Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir
    11. Fran Kurniawan/Shendy Puspa Irawati -- will lose 7400 pts by early Apr, thrown back to top 25.
    16. Devin Lahari/Lita Nurlita

Nope... no combo with any other tournaments. From the very faint news I heard, this participation in the Cuba Future Series is more for diplomatic reasons of our INA government rather than pure career building activity from PBSI's side. The expenses will be paid by our INA government, not our PBSI National Team...
