However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

I'm thinking this one is counterfeit ... unless the code/date was copied down incorrectly. IIRC, I have a racket that is 8888XXX and the date of production is in November, 2009.
