    She won the Russia GP for the second time last month, and now she is in the final of Vietnam GP. Today she will face her teammate Nozomi Okuhara. Cheer up for her!!

    she does not feel shy to talk in English unlike other Japanese players. That's great. Actually Hayakawa can speak english well too, but he just doesn't want to give it a try. :(

    Well, the skater brought T. Tzui Ying into 3 tough games today. Great effort! Hoping for more of her appearance in big tournament in the future.

    Nice tournament for Ohori at the NZ grand prix gold. SO bad she lost in the final, but Song JH was a class above, making almost no mistake and having the right shot selection.
    There is something nice in Ohori's temper on court, she seems to be overwhelmed by her emotions by moments. I hope she can learn to cope with it without surpressing it.

    ...and just to bring this up to date, she won the SCG Thailand Open WS final against Busanan



    with impressive play in G2 especially. As you say, interesting temperament and a thoughtful playing style.

    ...but despite a good run through the 2017 Thailand GPG, she couldn't quite reproduce her best form in the final, and lost out to Busanan this time in two. Credit to Busanan for a determined performance here.
