huh, sometime i understand the YY chart, and sometime i don't. if this racket build for smash, vt-zf should position at left side of vt80 right?

This is what makes YY's marketing people pompous and proud, everyone of us at least has an interest and anticipation, be it plain chit chat or readying our wallet (gimmick or otherwise).:) That's a well oiled mean, marketing machine right there.

I'm suspicious of this data. Granted I don't know exactly what they are measuring but, if these 414 and 415 speeds are the shuttle speed as its left the racquet then I'm not sure the physics allows for a much faster (36%!! more) velocity at the 'end' (technically the end speed for both should be zero). Either the initial velocity is a faulty measurement (the racquet head is still in contact with the shuttle at the point of initial measurement. Or, the shuttle has been deformed by the VT-ZF.

So maybe what they've invented is a shuttle destruction machine that will tear through cheap shuttles at a rate of 2 dozen a game. If so I'm buying one, it will be great with possibly forcing the people I play with to stop using those crappy shuttles.

By the way, the marketing campaign is stupid. And, if the 19kg really refers to what the frame can withstand before deforming then only way I can really respond is with a giant YAWN and a 'who gives a siht'.

You're wrong. Your point is based on a nonrepresentative sample... us. We are by the fact that we are members of this forum an enthusiast community. Interest was sparked here the minute it was realized LCW was playing with something other than the VT-80. The other 90% of my club members have no idea this thing is coming out soon.

I agree with the point about the terminal velocity - technically, there is no way the racket has any influence over it. The strings are, just like with any other racket, an even surface and should not deform the shuttle in any other fashion (which would be the only possible reason for different speeds, other than testing them in completely different arenas, which -now that I think about it- sounds exactly like a Yonex marketing scheme. :D

Point taken with thanks.;) Yes, admittedly, I am talking about BC members in general, although there are others out there that conveys the same. Anyways, BC certainly holds a strong grip in the baddy community for sure to provide word of mouth transferal of info from enthusiast to enthusiasts undoubtedly.

Never doubt AT700.com info :D. They always have members going to the Yonex trade fair ... that "other" 2012 chart is a Yonex Sunrise production aka SP region chart and obviously it won't include a yet to be released model before the official launch ...

Yes sir . But over the years you sorta already remember AT700.com is the place to look first for scoops. Too bad it is invite only ...
Eventually stuff will leak out but I mean most of the recent news off new rackets, strings, etc. has been up on that board since December! (iirc :D)
This section in particular is the place to be: http://www.at700.com/forum.php?mod=forumdisplay&fid=31&page=1
Cab50 swingweight data and more pics up as well there (let me shamelessly copy them to the Cab50 thread in a minute)

I assume it is a further development of this: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/93682-Yonex-Nanopreme-material?p=1623418#post1623418

Hehe, I assume they have members that are store owners or higher up the chain and thus get invited to the annual(?) trade fair. I'm not a member there either and stuck feeding of the crumbs that are public [IMG][IMG] (doesn't look like anyone here is a member and if they were they wouldn't be allowed to post it elsewhere anyway)
