Hi i consider myself as a good amuteur player and am trying to find a new racket but need a bit of help. I want a racket which has great power and smash capabilities but also has a BIG sweat spot. My style is aggressive baseline. I have no price limit also I play both singles and doubles. i'd be grateful for your help
If you want a balance and slightly flexible, I advise you to buy Yonex Arc Saber 7, it is slightly head heavy which is known as balance head in yonex rackets range. The flex is medium, not too stiff and not too flexible. It is also a good racket for playing singles and doubles.
If you can handle slightly stiffer, I will recommend you Arc Saber 10, Li Ning N50-II. Both of them is slightly head heavy, and suits well in singles and doubles.
If you want greater power for smashes, you should consider head heavy rackets. A classic example will be Voltric 80 right now, it is the powerful beast. Yonex armotec 900 power also a great racket suits for both singles and doubles.
It is because at first you mentioned that you prefer balance. Voltric series rackets are head heavy, therefore they are very powerful on smashes. Voltric 80 will be good option if you can tame it =)
Voltric 70 is head heavy and Voltric 80 is very head heavy. Do you mean sweet spot? The spot to hit constantly without mishit ?
My racket has a very small spot where optimum power is produced by sweat spot what I mean is does voltric have a big spot for optimum power?
Yes. It is because it has the latest technology of Yonex. The optimum power for Voltric 80 is very great, but not all people can use it due to the head heaviness.
What shape is that racket anyway/which model exactly, oval or isometric/regular? And any clue what string and/or tension is in it? Some modela with an enlarged sweetspot are those Yonex' with "Mega Frame" technology, like AT70MG and AT30MG. The 70 one seems to be the less headheavy one but still it should be noticeable ... Anyway for those prices better rackets are available and if you need a bigger sweetspot: drop your tension
