LXR has to forget she is Olympic champion and start afresh. G1 to Busanan, 21-13. A major upset in the making?
Busanan has nothing to lose, can play fearlessly with wild abandon while LXR is too self-conscious and somewhat erratic.
To me,not a convincing win by LXR, inconsistent form in one match. To be honest, far from her best. Busanan is very skillful, she will go far.
Meanwhile, Chen Xiao Jia lost to Tine Baun in a close 2 games 22-20, 21-19. The last time they met in India Open, CXY easily beat Tine 21-13, 21-17. What a reverse in fortune!
LXR and TB has a common trait in their games. Both can be very erratic . They can make a lot of silly unforced errors which can cause them to loose to lesser opponents. In the case of LXR , I personally think she has achieved success too early in her career and is psychologically unprepared to shoulder her fame. I think she is not the female Lin Dan that LYB talks about.
I agree with you. When LYB dubbed LXR the female Lin Dan he is referring to her aggressive, attacking style of play as she has too few titles to her name to be dominant. In fact,LYB says he has yet to know which of their WS can play the lead role.
Wang Zengming is playing like Chen Jin, no sudden injection of pace or explosive attacks. He is a cool cucumber, all right, not exciting to watch.
I don't really see that. He seems to be a very entertaining player to me, very fast and aggressive. His smash is very sharp.
