man the amount of strings i have broken...i use bg 65 at 26lbs and yeah it will last me 2-3 weeks maby 4 weeks if im really really lucky but yeah damn i break way to many strings like that i gotta find a super durable string haha.
lol i dont know man i dont think i hit super hard or anything...well thats just me but yeah the string isnt breaking around the side of the racquet (which is usually caused by shanking) it will break right in the sweet spot so yeah legit break and all.
BG25 ah hum we dont get that string here but i would just have to order some from somewhere, whats the thickness? 22lbs na i dont like playing with anything lower than 24lbs thats why i string higher at 26lbs for good feel with playing.
it's quite expensive here in germany to restring (20eur) and my tension isnt very high (25lbs, play 8hrs/week) so normally i restring once every 5 months.
I am the same, for the last year I haved played about 4 times a week, usually only for 2 hours per session. Before that I played for about six years just once a week. I have my tension at at 25lbs and have never broken a string! I guess that we must both always hit the sweetspot!
BG66 feels nice. but need to restring on avg 2-3mths, sometimes even shorter. but i'm trying out .70mm strings to save some money
BG66 just snapped on my yesterday night. Smack on 16 days lol, lasted a tiny bit more than 2 weeks. Now time to try out the bg80's.
For myself BG 68 TI 3-4 WEEKS BG 80 3-4 WEEKS BG 65 5-6 WEEKS NBG95 5-6 WEEKS LEVEL OF PLAY - INTERMEDIATE HOURS / WEEK APPROX 8-12
lazy to read the first few pages of post but i believe that it is related to how often you play. when training 4 times a week for 3 hours each training, my BG-68 Ti lasted only 1 to 1.5 month. but now, i dont train as much, only 2 times a week for 2 hours each RECREATIONAL playing. and my BG-68 Ti is still smashing hard for 3months already. moreover, no fluffy fluffy at all however, the similarity is that BG-68 Ti will start to "change sound" after around 3 weeks. i tried an "ulu ulu" string with no labels on it 2 years ago (ok, not i tried, but i gave it to my coach and didnt ask for the type of string i wanted) which i suspect to be gosen string. believe it or not, it snapped during my SECOND hit (it was a full strength cross-court slice-smash) after i got my racket back from my coach. it burst on a little on the left (or right) side of the centre. fortunately i didnt have to pay for the subsequent string
i did not vote before because all my life playing badminton before, my strings never broke but i guess that might have been due to the fact that i play a lot less frequently before. last week i broke my bg 66 string. it lasted more than six months but this is the first time i had to restring because of string breakage. i think the fact that i play three times a week contributes to it.
rally 21 micro strung at 28 tension is just brakeing after 3 weeks (around 20-30 hours playing time) im thinking of changing to nanology 95.
