There have been several in the past with a 2xxxxxx serial number but cone codes from 2009 which were perfectly genuine. "We" attribute it to being manufactured in a different location used when extra capacity is needed but that is just speculation. All from official Yonex dealers and "all" just fine by all the check marks like barcode sticker etc.

But we should be in the new era now yes, wonder what the shaft serials will be now ? Maybe like the Taiwan models, same 7 digits different font? Not very practical, 8 would be logical yes ...

I dont exactly know the name, its not a really well known shop, you need to know people to actually find that place... its in Mong Kok somewhere, i know alot of people including my coach buys rackets from there, im just checking, but im sure its real...

Maybe because I had started a response but thought I'd check again before posting and cancelled. I had already checked when I asked which version it was and at the time based on these numbers it is a fake racquet. Since the numbers are still the same the conclusion still is: fake [IMG]. With that shaft serial you're looking at an August 2005 cone code, not March 2006 as highlighted in bold red.

Can you doublecheck the cone code? And what is the name of the store?

Yes I saw it earlier and for this shaft serial it could start with 050 (cone code is probably 050112SP). The pictures look okay to me and the store I have seen mentioned many times and should be legit. There are other who could also help out with checking the pictures and comparing but for the numbers if you want to know you should really remove the sticker ...

I have double checked and the cone code is correct. As for the name of the shop it's called Perfect Sports in Kota Damansara (Malaysia). This outlet was just recently opened and they have another outlet in Pertama Complex (Malaysia). Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

    racket model: Yonex Voltric 70

    9600343

Okay, since I had one entry with an earlier shaft serial but later cone code from here: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/89673-Yonex-VOLTRIC70-JP?highlight=9599888
But turns out I wrote 090902JP instead of 090802JP. For 090802JP that one would even be a fake actually but yours should be fine now that the error has been removed [IMG]. The one in the other thread might actually be 080902JP instead as well ...

Not even sure how it was entered incorrectly since I usually just copy-paste ... could be I had the file open on my pc and the internet connection in my laptop that has no open office on it.

Based on the shaft-cone code number combination the racket should be just fine [IMG]. IP or ID? Should still be fine either way but of course ID is regular for India ...
