If JJS/LYD wins tomorrow...they will be number 1 but they have 3 tournaments (German, AE and Swiss) to defend their points...I think they will be back to number 2 again ...if JJS goes to Military training and their ranking will go down....
Hehe oh well that's good, maybe I heard you wrong . I think LYD/JJS are definitely the best at this moment!
Yes. They're gonna lose the points they had obtained by winning 2008 AE and SO and runner-up in Germany. After finishing the basic military training for four weeks(from late Feb.), we might see Super JJS with stronger jump smash. (p.s. For who do not know about JJS's military service: he will belong to the Sports Squad(Badminton) of Korean Army and will keep playing with LYD in the International Tournaments. For the national tournaments, he will play representing for the Army.)
Looks like the crushing straight set defeat in the homeground (complete domination courtesy of the Danish pair of Boe/Morgensen forcing plenty of errors and preventing any help from the famous korean linesmen) will cost LYD/JJS their chance for #1 title. With plenty of points to defend in AE & SO, they'll face uphill climb to do so then.
Finally managed to get online after a few days....to see the mighty Jung/Lee getting beaten in front of home crowd at the hand of the fastly improving Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen. Seems like DEN has a very worthy successor in MD right now. No worry though, Jung/Lee will be ranked no 1 up to the All England (ensuring their top-seeding)...but after that, with more than 20,000 pts to defend from the 3 tourneys, not to mention them missing the German Open GP for sure.
Can someone please post that statistics page from tournamentsoftware.com? Boe/Mogensen had 20 smash and 15 net winners compared to 14 smash and 9 net winners for the Korean pair. The key to beating Jung/Lee is to force Lee Yong Dae to make errors (as someone has mentioned earlier too), and tall opponents like Boe/Mogensen or Paaske/Rasmussen might have the advantage compared to Kido/Hendra. Also, do not let the Korean to force the game to rubber-set. If you look at the way Jung/Lee lost, it's usually in straight-sets with no fuss, ie: complete domination from the winning pair
Ask and ye shall receive. To borrow a phrase from our Korean friend here, complete and total domination by CM/BM.
JJS/LYD has been a bit consistant ,compare to other pairs...the question is they can rise on right tournament......
From the 2009 KO MD Final.. ..it seemed to me that JJS was the one who made more errors than LYD. They made it very close toward the end of the 2nd game, close to forcing a rubber game, but the Danes kept on the offensive & never lost focus.
maybe yesterday md match there are 2 factors which cause their title. 1. they are too over confident 2. lyd is tired after the xd match.
yeah, no one is perfect in this world even some top players can make much mistakes in their matches sumtimes.
well...in the final...lcw,lhj and jjs is the TOP PLAYER tat make mistakessssssssssssssssss in their match...
