I don't want a new racket, but I guess I need a new racket, because currently I only have one and it's pretty nerve-wracking to play in a tournament with just one racket. :)

I need a new racquet because it's fun having different types of racquets so you don't get bored of your main one, no matter how well you play with it? :D

Yes this is what I feel as well. Sometimes you have different preferences, and having different rackets lets u change/adapt ^_^
And since there are so many choices now, it is no longer super expensive to try new rackets.

I need a new racquet because RACECAR!!!!

Just want to try a new one out. I have been playing with T-PRO and Ti-10 for a while now (very different I know, but it depends on the day I guess).

Ordered a MX80 and MX70 and will test out when they arrive.

Why do I need a new racquet? Because my newly acquired racquet(s) gets old even when they are a couple months old.:) Just like when a coach repeats the finer points of badminton strategy...no matter how visionary they can be, it would still get old.:D

To give myself the illusion that my skill will increase accordingly with my new racket, but in reality I'm playing harder to affirm the belief that my purchase was justified.

Badminton is as much a hobby as it is a sport to me: money drain.

I played guitar: I had fancy stuff in my bedroom that is way overpowered for home use.
I played airsoft: I had LOADS of gear just because. Even if I only played a few time a year.
with Badminton it's the same. I enjoy hobbies and thus am prepared to throw money at it.
That's why I am prepared to pay more than 100 euros for a racket even when it doesn't matter.

It's called GAS (Gear Aquisition Syndrome) and it's an official disease to musicians :p.

Just out of curiosity, ont know if I should do a poll about it. How many rackets do you guys own? For me, I think I'll get my 3rd racket then I'll be good or years to come or until one of them breaks lol!!
