I have not seen the matches yet...but LD is known to play it easy against others but LD would get serious and turn to 5th gear when his opponents are LCW or TH, it becomes not only winning that matter for LD but pride too, to not be beaten by LCW/TH. I share your support for MAS but honestly, if LCW and KKK/TBH lose, MAS may be facing a whitewash from CHN. WS, WD and XD are cooked, therefore CHN, in my opinion has won the SF, it is a matter of the final score.
As for KOR, the same goes for MS and WS going to CHN. KOR needs to win MD, WD and XD to have a chance, therefore CHN has advantage of 2-0, and only has to win one of the other MD, WD and XD. I concur with you that KOR would mount a better challenge to CHN. But KOR may not even get pass INA.
I think INA will face CHN in the final and not KOR. I think INA has edge over KOR in MS, WS and XD. MD is a even. WD goes to KOR.

I agree with you on this one...I don't care much about Sudirman, all along I said it is for CHN to win...I only want to see LCW play LD, and that is the only game I look forward to seeing...and I would pay to see it:D;)

Matches that I saw today on Indovision:

    Indonesia Vs China:

Simon VS Lin Dan. LD win in 3 sets.
Simon had very good defense skill but not enough attacking skill. If he wanted to get into top 5, he need to had better attacking skill or probably waited for older player to retired.

    Greysia/Nitya VS Du/Yu. Du/Yu in straight sets.
Ina coach probably wiser if they play their second WD pair than this pair. Cause Du/Yu practically told Korean players how to win this pair quickly. By keep attacking Nitya who was the weakest player here. The Chinese pair got tons of points in first set from just keep attacking Nitya. In second set, they spread the attacking more equal to Ina pair with the same result.

Korea girls if playing with China tactic will win this WD round quickly.

    Devin/Lita Vs ZB/ Ma Jin
Both pairs play below their form. Strange. cause they should play their best cause this last match didnot had any important meaning anymore. But in the court, both pairs made tons of unforced errors specially the service. Its like both pair did not wanted to win and kept giving their opponent easy points from wrong service.

But ZB/MJ manage to lower their unforced errors in the third set and win this in rubber set. Based on their performance today and XD will play first in semifinal against Mas, I predict LYB will play HHB/Yu Yang rather than ZB/MJ.

..INA squad only has edge in their Singles events. The XD & MD events could go either way.
..Jan O Jorgensen is 21 yrs young (will be 22 this yr, born in 1987). Danes' future MS star..

Not sure if anyone has talked about the US group 3 playoff match. Howard Bach is the best US MS player. I wonder why he didn't play MS at all.

kevin han was the #1 MS before so howard went to specialize in doubles.
I believe he made the right choice.

Would he have beaten any of the MS players the US faced? Probably not so what's the point ;). Although against Bulgaria it would have been worth a shot and have Tony G play the mixed [IMG].
:D But you were talking about just the playoff match ... I guess would have been worth a shot since he didn't play the mixed. Zavadsky was seeded #1 at the 2007 European Junior Championships MS ...

SDK must win, Maria will win....MD and WD edge to KOR...XD will be deciding factor, and I give slight edge to INA because KOR has to double shift both LYD/LHJ in XD while Nova/Butet are rested...but if SDK screw up, then bye, bye...what do you think?;)

Yes, I mean the payoff match. But shouldn't they field the strongest lineup in playoff? Howard just won't the US National MS, MD and XD. The best 3 players play twice - Tony G (MD, XD), Eva L (WS, XD) and Howard Bach (MS, MD). I believe Howard Bach would have a much higher chance to upset Zavadsky than Howard Shu.

But he's still the best MS player in US other than the pro's from Indonesia. :)

    KOR vs. INA Semifinal outlook..

    - Yes, it will probably come down to the XD event.
    - Yes, fatigue could be a factor for LYD & LHJ. That's why if they can advance to the Final Rd and miraculously win it all, they'll be the hero & heroine and MVPs.
    - INA's XD (Widianto & Natsir) also almost lost to JPN pair..;)
