Unfortunately, I haven't played with all of the Meteors. I've only played with the MX80, MX70 and MX JJS. But, in order from stiffest to least stiff, it would be: MX80>MX JJS>MX70>(MX60?) The stiffness of the JJS is closer to the MX70 than the MX80. The 80 definitely feels a moderate tier up in stiffness. However, I have no idea as of yet what the graphene in the JJS may induce. Truthfully, I don't like the MX70 at all. In my opinion, it feels completely numb and lacks that "crispness" I like. The MX JJS seems to remedy this though.
Excellent!!! I'll be getting this for sure. I wanted something a bit less stiff than the MX80 but just as head heavy (or more). I wasn't particarly fond of the colour scheme of the MX70 but the MX-JJS looks wicked.
That's exactly what I've been looking for too . A racket that is a bit more head heavy and a bit less stiff than the MX80. And it seems through my initial findings that the MX JJS could be that very racket. Now I just need my foot to heal so I can actually use it in a real game
Some updates about my experience with the racket: I've now had a few simple hits with the racket from just playing outside. Just a few simple drives, clears and half smashes. I would now like to revoke what I said about the JJS's stiffness being closer to the MX70. After playing with it, the stiffness feels like it's actually in between the MX80 and the MX70. Maybe even slightly closer to the MX80. Now onto the "feel" of the racket itself...it's very hard to describe. It's not quite as crisp as the MX80 but it's still very "communicative" and raw. I would describe the "feel" of the racket as extremely solid. It feels almost metallic. My slightly tighter than normal BG-80 strings might be the cause of the more metallic feeling but there's definitely more to it than that. It just feels rock solid and stable when hitting. My half smashes also felt great. The racket is definitely powerful but better than the MX80? I don't know yet. I am now convinced that the graphene is doing something in this racket. It has the most solid and stable feeling frame I've ever tried. I just hope this translates to better power!
I thought it came as a set? Anyway, pretty odd-shaped bag but fits the racket nicely..... reminds me of an oar or a machete .
where is your racket coded? i ordered one from MBS as well last week, but they JUST told me that they went out of stock
I'm debating on JJS or a London... I have a MX80 3U and it feels like a heavy 3u! That and it's just a hair on the too stiff side.
Have you managed to test out the PP Precision Pro yet? Get one on the heavier and higher bp side, it has since replaced my mx70 and mx80.
@canadianBadmint: Thanks for sharing your minds. You talked about a metallic feeling. When I was trying MX-70, it was already metallic for me. Is MX-JJS it "more metallic" than MX-70? What about the feeling of MX-80 in term of metallic feeling?
I have two PPro's. Both just under 86g with 296bp. They hit good but seem to lack some pop. Maybe it's the string tension or maybe it needs more weight. Hard to tell because i really don't know how much my MX80 weighs. Definitely feels heavier and it drops smashes like a bomb. I have a TPro 2nd get (red) at 86g and it's pretty good too. Maybe I need to add a hair of weight on the head of the PPro.
