The TC700 also costs about the same as the AT700. I might as well get it at the end of this year when I return back to Japan again.
Count me on. I love tc700 so much since I got it several days ago. Compared to YY AT700, tc700 is slightly stiffer and less head-heavy. And AT700 has extra long shaft, while tc700's got a long grip. TC700's frame shape is unique, like something between traditional oval shape and Yonex Isometric shape. Sweet spot area is fairly small, but if you got used to it, this racket could be an ultimate powerful weapon.
Ah, have you tried the GP10 ? Now.. this frame-shape is really unique. It looks pretty cool too.. like the old ti10:
One of my friend got a gp10 and I tried it out for about half an hour. GP10 is the former high-end racket before Mizuno introduced tetracross series. GP10 is a even-balanced racket with stiff shaft, more like a nanospeed 8000. GP10 does look very nice, this colour scheme really rocks and the paint job is super neat, if you've already got used to how Yonex paint rackets.
The old colour-scheme TC700's on a massive discount at the moment in Japan. The TC700 at Shuttle House was on 40% discount. Try having a look at www.shuttlecock.com, they have it on 50% discount. I saw some other shops online at about the same discount rage too.
the old colour scheme at shuttle-house sold out already, but they didnt remove it from their website. I've order before, but they email me that model out of stock already
Tetracross 700 Hi kayaza, I have seen this racket been sold at Shanghai, Red Leaf Sports Club at 143, Jinshajiang Lu.They do carry some models of Mizuno brands. Lee
as a long time TC700 user, It seems to mee it is not only the color that is different.. The new version feels much improved over the older version, imop. I have 3 old and 3 new and i found that I even could differentiate between them on a blind test, so I doubt it is placebo . I feel that my smashes are maybe 10% stronger with the new version (hard to give an exact figure ) .. It may be that the older one have lost some of their stiffness, but I would really reccomend to go for the new ones despite the price difference!! cheers, Twobeer
Oh boy. Twobeer, what is your about the TC500, compared to the old TC700 and the new TC700, if you have tried it ? I'm still VERY confused about which racquet to buy when I return to Japan. Whether to go for the price, or the higher performance.. Oh gosh. The TC500 seems very much like the AT700, except that it's even-balanced. The TC700 seems more like a head-heavy NS9KS.
Yes I have a couple of TC500s as well.. TC500 is much more flexy.. I agree it is more similar to AT700. But TC700 is a hands down winner in every category in my book.. But that said I have not tried the new version of TC500!! darn.. now i got an urge to buy another racket again /Twobeer
I see you got the new version Niiiice Please share with us what you think about it after getting used to the timing /Twobeer
Actually I find it quite reasonable for the best badminton racket available autumn 2008 I would assume the tetra-axial woven and true CNT would justify a higher price-tag than most run-to-the-mill fullerene nano rackets /Twobeer
I want to buy old version actually, becoz that one got 40% discount, only 14490 yen, but sold out This one after shipping charge and 22% discount I pay 20217 yen. Will try it tonight
Twobeer sure does make me VERY tempted to get one, after he gave me his personal testimony on it via PM... Very, very tempting. Seems like the best racquet in the world with the best price ( on discount ).
haha.. Yes.. And especially coming from myself, who reeally hates to generlize on rackets performance But the TC700 is by no means a bluff racket.. its up there among the best of the best . I am just amazed that Mizuno does not push their badminton line more outside Japan... /Twobeer (P.S. toyed with the new price speedport rackets (tour and black) yesturday.. really nice.. vastly improvement over the O3s.. Also the new babolats are really nice.. D.S.)
