For the last time: this racket is not heavy! Nor is it that head heavy. I dont have a clue when people complain that it's too heavy...

Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I always thought you're a professional player and nothing is too heavy for you...

and yes I found the 3U VT80 heavy too :)

I'm not a pro player, but I just think that people portray it to be heavier than what it is, I'm holding one I'm my hand as I type, and also have a AT700, and the VT80 is much lighter, and less head heavy. Even my MX80 feels more heavy (overall weight, not head weight) than VT80 (both 3U)

I'm not saying that people aren't entitled to their opinions, just saying that I don't think it's as heavy as people make it out to be.

I, however, just complain it flexes to much due to my rotation during hard strokes. If it would be extra stiff and a tad more aerodynamic than it would be great for me. This is actually the reason why I am so curious about the Z-Force...

    Smash accuracy with VT80

I am having less accuracy with my smashes with 3U-G4 VT 80. The racket is strung at 24 lb. I feel the head is flexing too much. Am I doing some mistake in holding the racket? How to solve this problem? Recently I am back to my T200 to avoid this problem.

Are you sure it is the head? For me it was the shaft. What string are you using?

Smash accuracy with VT80 - Updated

Improved now - I am following coach Lee's video in you-tube. Very helpful. There is a big difference in playing with VT 80 and feather shuttlecock. Unlike Mavis 350 (slow) the feather slows down quite a lot and I can really do very powerful and sharp smashes.

I agree with your assessment of the VT80 and plastics. I find my smashes (while harder) are not as accuracte and steep with plastics compared to feathers. My timing is off with plastics. I'm thinking of getting/using a less head heavy racket for playing with plastics.

Bought volt80 3ug5. Awesome racket. Compared to at700 2008, felt really heavy overall. Used it to play doubles these last few days, and loved it. Improved my win-lose percentagess:D. Now, my at700 felt too light that i had to put electric tape on the head just to retain head heaviness almost equal to volt80.

Bit concerned though. That it might clashed with my partner's.

I finally was able to test out this racket but I tested it out at school and I used Yonex Mavis 2000 but I absolutely love this racket the power of this racket and it felt great!

That's the beauty of the VT80 - if you objectively measure it, it's actually very head heavy. However, Yonex have designed it so that it doesn't "feel" that way. Apparently this is a trademark of the Voltric series. Will be interested to see what the VT-ZF brings us.

I was frustrated with this racket at first. However, after more than 10 sessions with it, I can already handle the racket. Mine is 3UG5....

Imagine the power you could get with a 3U.
