yonex really should work on updating those "decorations" that go with the racket. LCW still using AT-900? Pshaw. I really hope they fixed that super soft frame for the AT700... i think 2nd gen and 1st gen always had problems at higher tensions because of the sinking of the string into the frame... other then that, its a winner. Question : Has yonex gone back to putting a clear varnish on the rackets? Don't want another z-force sticker problem....

    LCW isn't using the AT-900PLCW
    He is using a VT-ZF

that's what i meant. LCW hasn't used the old AT900LCW for such a long time, and yet Yonex keep on using him with the old pictures... they really should update that graphically....

Two of my favourite Yonex rackets ever! I wonder if Kamilla Juhl will switch to the new Arc 10? I wasn't entirely keen on the PG colour scheme but I really like this new rendition.

The shape of the head definitely looks more like the new VT-ZF than traditional AT700, I wonder if it's more headlight too??

I just had a chat with a bloke I know in HK, and he's confirmed the Ltd edition models for the VT-ZF, VT9 and VT 3 are available, and will confirm whether the AT700 Ltd exists and whether there's any stock in circulation tomorrow.

These yoyo TWSport ones look pretty fake to me. The AT700 on page 1 which looks more credible has the old string pattern whereas the yoyo one has the new one. No updates on badmintoncn either as far as I could tell just now :D ...

Pics and/or link seem to have been removed from the twsport website as well for now ...

Doesn't the Armotec 700 have the old stringing pattern ? With more shared holes at the top ?

Yes which is contrary to the pic from TWStore and in accordance to the one on page 1.

Pics and/or link seem to have been removed from the twsport website as well for now ... but still on their facebook and seem to be actual in-store pics.
On a positive sidenote Cab50 TW seems to be out now :).

So what i've found out so far is that the AT700Ltd is available in 3U only :-(

I've not had a chance to get one in my hand yet, but the head shape still looks suspiciously like a Voltric Z-Force. Are we being conned by Yonex are putting some AT700 livery on a VT ZF?

Maybe I should order both in 3U and give them a try.

Old AT700 still looks the best IMO.

I think if they took the old armortec 700 LTD, gave it the thinner shaft and the old armortec head with the updated materials, updated the paintjob (keep the dragon, oh please keep the dragon!) it would be a keeper.

Oh and take away the premium. I would feel like im buying high quality milk or coffee....just Armortec 2012 would be nice :)

    ants - don't think there's been a racket quite like the at700 1st gen.
