I want to ask a question about the possibility of repeating numbers to racquets. whether this is possible in principle? I saw an offer to sell racquets at auction and in descriptions were pictures. on one of the pictures were photographed by several badminton rackets with the same code. I guess it's fake because the code does not contain letters, numbers only, but this fact made me ask this question of repetition code. Can I put a link to these pictures at the auction in order to get your comments about these rackets? And I want to ask you again about my racket: ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex arcsaber z-slash Taufik Hidayat shaft serial: 7372601 cone code : 281092JP source : ? price : don't know. it's a gift for my jubilee. ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- Could it be some inaccuracy in your reply about its authenticity? Thanks for your answers!
shaft serial in Yonex racket made in JAPAN is ONE OF A KIND arcsaber z-slash i made in Japan, so no, you cannot find two similar shaft serial but you could find two similar CONE CODE (because basically cone code is the date of the racket being made and Yonex Japan produce around 3000 rackets per day) yes, you can post the pic in here but if the cone code does not contain 2 letter that means it's a fake racket your arcsaber z-slash is a fake racket and I already said to you that you are not the only one who has this type of racket (started with 7, and production 2009 or 2010) We have data over thousands Yonex rackets so we know about it
thanks for your answer. I carefully looked closely at the symbols on photographs and considered that are 2 letter at the end of code on rackets sold at auction. Thanks again for your responses.
Hello, Would like to check the following racquet before buying. 3UG4, 2nd hand. ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Armortec 900 Power shaft serial: 8906172 cone code : 201194CD source : Fellow member price : US$175 ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- Thank you very much.
You can definitely count on the genuineness of the racquet as for a fellow BC member to be selling a fake racquet for such price here, that person will be thoroughly mortified
---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Arcsaber 7 shaft serial: 2919667 cone code : 208828JP source : Shop in San Jose (Plan to purchase) price : US$175 ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- Sorry, I forgot to take pictures, there is no JP on the shaft. Thank you and have a nice day.
No problems there as far as the numbers are concerned Has happened, lucky I read that thread and got it locked and a ban for the seller. But he might've gotten a few off before (was in Malaysia I think) ...
Sorry, I don't really know, since the number a friend who lives in San Jose has copied the number for me. But, I don'y think it is any official shop recognized by YONEX USA. However, my friend said it is trust worthy. Just want to check the authenticity, I might ask my friend later, but I will like to know, is the racket genuine? Thank you and have a nice day.
Yes, about as fake as fake can be . Drop the 5 and you might want to offer that in a generous mood (price : US$175) . That's why were interested to know the name of the shop so people can avoid it like the plague ...
This is a reply to demolidor. I just asked my friend, he said he did not remember the name, but it is around Saratoga. If people who go the shops around there, they could check first. Thank you.
---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Arcsaber 10 shaft serial: 7837630 cone code : 240610JP source : Friend price : unknown ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- Please help me check this. May I ask, how does badmintoncentral check the rackets are geuine or not. I really want to know how since there are many friends who are bought rackets, but never realized to check. Thank you and have a nice day.
Also fake. Pretty simple, when in the US if you're unsure don't buy anything other than cone code ending on "US". Don't know if it works but: http://yonexusa.com/retail.cfm Shaft serial is a running production number and should match with the cone code. In the above case the shaft serial/production number has been reached years ago, we are in the 9 million something range by now.
Demolidor, someone from Tepokbulu forum PM me asking about second hand Yonex Ti-10 1st gen JP he said there is no shaft serial and cone code on the racket that means it's a fake right?
Yes, even the very first ones had the old style cone code. Don't know if JP was different but I don't see a reason why it would be ... Errm, how does he know it's JP if there is no cone code?? If there is JP on the shaft like SP then it is fake for sure ...
---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Ti-10 1st gen shaft serial: 4036532 cone code : 041026JP source : Tepokbulu price : unknown ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- hello demolidor this is the shaft serial and cone code
Okay , in that case there is nothing to worry about. Should be fine, at least according to the numbers . Found two results in google as well and in one of the lists next to the Ti-10 with almost the same number as above was a NS7000JP serial-cone code combination I also copied from a picture in Camel Sports, JP specialist in Beijing, store. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=1478303392 http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...k&gl=nl&client=firefox-a&source=www.google.nl
I took a read of the first thread, and can confirm that the seller is really no other than Camel himself, so there is no doubt of him selling rare genuine Yonex racquets As for determining if an old racquet without the shaft serial and code suffix is of JP code, the ever present Japan Consumer Safety "SG" mark will be on the weight and grip specification sticker:
