Unfortunately so few companies actually publish dry BP's, or when they do they are often not accurate, and so few people measure the BP of their dry rackets (I suspect way too keen to string them and actually go play!) that, what else are you going to go with?

I fully understand that two different rackets with the same BP's can feel totally different, in terms of where they carry their weight and how they feel when swung.

Dry / Gross weight is as you pull the racket off the shelf - no string and plastic wrap still over the handle. Wet / Net weight is with string and overgrip.

No, dry wt is a totally naked racket. No strings, no plastic wrap, only factory grip. .....Wet wt is playing wt. Whatever grip and strings needed to play included.

Today I was at my favorite store for some stringing jobs. My friend told me he has the new Nanorays and showed it to me. It's really strange. No ultra slim shaft, no slim frame? I thought I was in a time machine or has one low end Yonex in my hand. Did some swings but I'm not thrilled.

Semantics. That's essentially what I said, unless you like arguing over 0.3g worth of plastic wrap.

i played badminton last night with n700fx and sw35. With n700fx i made very less mistake compare to sw35. Back court smash still sw35 is winner.

Sorry, but my perfectionistic tendecies do get out of hand sometimes. :)

And Victor's double layer of plastic wrap over the grip comes out to be 1.1g in case you'd like to know... :p

It is so funny to see an Austrailian who plays badminton call anyone a weirdo. I didn't even know there was badminton in Austrailia. Before I joined BC, I thought all Austrailians did was run around the bush in Khaki outfits harassing wildlife. :p

You know, the big question here is, what's going to happen to the ArcSaber range? We have the Voltric and the Nanoray.....ArcRazor? LazerArc?

Yep, last year Armortec was replaced by Voltric, this year Nanospeed replaced by Nanoray, so next year we should expect the Arcsaber range to be replaced. Perhaps by Arclaser, Arcphaser? :)

I'd say the Arc's have a few years left having only been introduced in 2007(?) iirc. NS was 2005? And AT's in 2003? I guess the end is really upon us after all in 2012. YY has sped up their cycle  ...

edit: false alert! NS was released in 2004 *phew* :p

well, knowing yonex it could be an "alien word 3P or 3T".

i still dont understand where the word voltric comes from :S

i imagine Mr Yonex sees the triple speed bumps on the VT70 while he was watching voltron and thinking "hmmm voltron triple?" then shorten it to voltrip, then mispronounce it through the phone :p

A bit like the Mitsubishi Starrion from the 1980's, which was reportedly supposed to be the 'Stallion'.
