I read in the China Badminton website that JYJ will not be a "superstar" if she can only beats her teammates.

After her victory at AE, I'm quite sure that WYH will be groomed as the world number.

    Her fitness is legit!..

..i thought in her QF match vs. Zhou Mi, Wang YH's stamina would not last long, considering she had gone through several grueling matches since the AE..
    She's proven otherwise..
Best of luck to her the rest of the way in the Swiss Open..

Before the match, I thought it would be a tight 3 sets match..... Now, I think ZM is facing problem when playing with Yihan :D Chris, don't forget Yihan is the best among all her chinese teammates in terms of stamina, haha... She is not the Yihan that we seen in Yiyang World Cup 2006. I still remember in 2006, she was seriously lacked of stamina!!

An interview with Yihan in Basel (13/3)

Reporter: Congratulation to you today and you are now progress to the semi final stage. Was the match tough?

Yihan: Thanks. Ya, the match was quite tough because opponent is an experienced player who is likely to be familiar with my strategy.

Reporter: Before the match started, did your coach discuss the strategy and tactics with you? Can you tell us more about how you defeat ZM?

Yihan: I will not talk about strategy and tactic because these are private and confidential. What I could say is that I just try my best to perform better in every game.

Reporter: Oh ya, congratulation to you for winning the AE title. AE is a big tournament and Tine is China team's strongest opponent, how can you defeat her?

Yihan: Actually I never thought of winning her before the match because many teammates also lost to her.

Reporter: Tine doesn't know chinese, so could you talk about the strategy and tactics arranged by your coach?

Yihan: Cannot la, strategy and tactic are really private and confidential. As long as I treat the game as normal and make an all out effort, I have already satisfied.

Reporter: Okay, let's talk about other thing. What you like to do or what is your hobby during your spare time??

Yihan: Listening songs, watch movie and drama, and online.

Reporter: Oh really?? Then what type of song do you like?? Korean?? Japanese?? Cantonese and Chinese??? Do you have any favourite singer?

Yihan: Any nice song will do. Sometimes my teammates also recommend some new songs to me. My favourite singer is Jay Chou.

    * Take a look at Yihan's bag :D

    ^^Erm..^^

..it seems like her mini zoo collection of dolls has grown over the years..
..well, thanks to you, if she had revealed her strategy in Mandarin, you would translate all those for the world to read. But she's smart though as she knew 'someone' out there will probably read/translate her interview transcript.;)
Btw, she didn't say "cannot la", did she??..:p
*Thanks for sharing/translating that brief interview.
