Doesn't it also depend on how the speed is measured? If you measure a very short distance from impact, the value will be much higher than if you measure from impact until it hits the floor. Somebody told me smash speeds are recorded as impact to net, so a front court smash would record much faster if that were true.
Latest news and photo for MX JJS is released and can be found on Victor China site here, http://www.victorsport.com.cn/news-contents.php?id=ZTNGwydIKMWBDFvakPoL0ACs1NhDEk
Official details of the racket are available here, http://www.victorsport.com.cn/product_data.php?id=lh6UfpU9qM1Q5lQuw5Sc77dnIoxOvY It seems like it will be released in July and will be selling around the same price as MX 80.
I guess this will be similar to MX 70 except that it will be graphene reinforced to provide better stability.
"As used by Indonesia Open Champion Jung Jae-Sung". Ye gods, if he wins the Olympics with this thing... Victor could finally crack UK properly. I may have to try it myself - I found the M70 too soft, but it'd be worth seeing what effect the graphene has (if any). As always, the photographer makes all the difference.
I didn't even see who posted them, but come to think of it, they do look decidedly kwun-y... UK probably won't see this thing for a LONG time (possibly to the point where prospective buyers will ask "who's he?").
no conspiracy theories please. but hey if Victor contacts me one day, asks me if i would help them shoot some product photos in return for some free early samples, i would happily comply... (*hint* *hint* if you are reading this...)
Thanks for the link. Its rated less stiff than the MX80 and SW35. Probably JJS made this request as he found the MX80 and SW35 too stiff
The Victor site seems to have CAD renderings rather than photographs. Very strange - some decent pictures would have been extremely useful for a roll-out.
Victor already has a rep posting detailed pics on Badmintoncn.com, a large online badminton community in China. The Graphene material is used around the T-Joint of the frame. The Meteor X-JJS is planned to roll out in July, with RRP of 1580 CNY (~249 USD). The actual price will be of course lower than that Here are the pics (from badmintoncn.com):
Victor JJS will be available in November in UK Meteor 60 will launch in September and new Meteor 80 will launch in summer. OK, it's official! Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
