flash in a pan is a highly incorrect statement aimed at stoking tensions in the forum. Wong Mew Choo is a flash in a pan? If one would say that her peak was CO07, she still progressed to formidable rounds after the tournament. In fact, she didn't only flash in CO07, she was the runner up in MO07, which was almost a year before her CO07 win. Her world ranking of 8 is obvious that she can mantain that form of play. Perhaps you should get to know what a flash in a pan means before throwing wild accusations around.
Flash in a pan is a harsh word....she has shown that she can beat some top players and got into final and semifinal......remember that women players may have PMS that could affect their performances.....
Well..I think this word is more suitable..Many players facing this problem..I am afraid that Mew Choo will drop down from the top 8 after this judging from her performance in this two tournaments..
ya lah... maybe WMC is not at her peak today, hence she is performing badly. One defeat dosen't make her a flash in a pan!
he he, me no agree, that part is more mind over matter . WMC has nagging knee injury that can effect her performance. SHe still goes for stem cell injections. But some might not understand fully the term 'flash in the pan', use it liberally. Tine R lost matches after JO 2007, didnt recover her form till MO 2008, abt 3 months, & Tine's more experienced than WMC.
