It seems I could meet this personally - I arrive at Hong Kong in the middle of November. With the fact I know nothing about China and chinese how should I go there? It's a chance to see all greats
ticketing info: https://ag.tickets.gz2010.cn/AGTicketing/63534/HTML/EN/main.html?lang=en Phase 3 of ticket sales, open this coming Oct. 25th (incl. badminton event): https://ag.tickets.gz2010.cn/AGTicketing/63534/HTML/EN/notice_detail.html?noticeId=706 Good luck and hope you can purchase the tickets at the booth if you can't reserve/buy them now. I know in the 2008 OG, for the baddy event, there weren't any available tickets for sale at the booth; all through scalpers. And hope you'll enjoy the festivities (and take some pics for us)!
I already was at this site but dont you really think it's too much info for just buy a ticket? tons of link somewhere.. announcements and so on.. and no simple information when to buy and pay I would reserve some ticket if I were knowing how to move inside China, how could i pass from Shenzen to GZ .. it's all uknown for me yet. Some Chinese people here?
dassad, yes, looks like it's going to be the same scenario as before in OG 2008. Meaning, only local public will be able to purchase the tix; no online ticket purchase. Or if one is already there and able to purchase the tix from the ticket booth. Or if you want to contact them through email and find out more infos instead of making an international call, here's the customer service email addie: https://ag.tickets.gz2010.cn/AGTicketing/63534/HTML/EN/contact.html Good luck and hopefully you'll get a response soon!
From HK to GZ, it's very convenience for you to take train from Kowloon railway station to Guangzhou East station directly within 90 minutes. And the stadium for badminton match is only 2 KM away from Guangzhou East station. Regarding the ticket, as you know, Guangzhou local people are quite crazy for this sports, I remember the tickets for men's team final were sold out within 1 hour during the first phase of tickets sale. Now I got one ticket for men's double SF already and will try to snatch tickets for team events. And in my worst scenario, I'll buy tickets from scalpers outside the stadium.
Men's team final, RMB600 for A class Men's team semi-final, RMB400 for A class MS and MD final, RMB800 for A class MS and MD semi-final, RMB600 for A class Other match RMB80-200 (Im not sure) for A class
Oh thanks for sharing Isn't it that famous transcendent fast train we all know about China?)) By the way I will live in Shenzen, not HK. Is there a railway station too? About tickets I don't understand - if I want right now to reserve some ticket - MS final or so, what should I do, or if it's impossible actually?
IC, I live in Shenzhen also. There is fast train from Shenzhen to Guangzhou east station every 15 minutes from early morning to middle night. The journey may take 55 minutes. As for order tickets online, pls kindly read the guide on https://ag.tickets.gz2010.cn/AGTicketing/63720/HTML/EN/guideline.html?lang=en My advice is that you should register immediately, since last time I took two days to receive the feedback of register from the order system. And online order will start at 9:00am on Monday, you should log in the system then.
..those prices, i believe are a bit cheaper than the 2008 OG badminton tix. Though i think most likely they will be bought out by the scalpers/agents and sold with jacked up prices for those foreigners (or even locals) who wish to watch but don't have any tix or haven't bought any tix. I'd be somewhat surprised if come the week of the event, they are still selling them at ticket booths @ the venue. fengyunfan, in case dassad can't purchase the tix online, maybe you and dassad can contact each other and help him purchase the tix in person since you live in CHN?? i know it won't be cheap. Just a suggestion. *Btw, abt 55 minutes to travel one way by train?!?!..hmmm..
not bad suggestion. this online registration is smth I never saw before! They want my passport details?!! May be bank account and password as well? Whats the hell they need my passport? Is it a guarantee I will arrive? I have some people in HK i will ask to help for the while.. The sad is I still dont know exact date of coming to HK
I think the passport detail requirement is just for an extra proof/ID that it's you when you pick up the tix, not some other person(s). I don't know if they'll require you to come and pick up the tix in person or you can print them online after purchasing them?..it's kind of the same as in the 2008 OG.. But you gotta confirm the date now if you really want to go. The event will start in abt 3 weeks..
it's business trip so it is not depending on my side.. btw here in Israel 4 last digits of credit card is most you can offer to confirm. But never such unique details like passport number..
Actually it's a countermeasure to prevent the scalpers, since one ID card(domestic people) or passport can only apply one account in this system, and one account can only order two tickets for one session. After you order tickets and finish payment online, the system will give you a receipt immediately, and you can show the receipt to the ticket booth when you arrive the stadium and they will print the tickets for you then.
I wish I could help you on this ticket issue, but we have two persons plan to watch and I can just buy two tickets for one session, sorry!!! If you need any other help, you can contact me on Skype.
Got it; that's a pretty good idea.. Now, i assume that also applies for individuals who want to purchase the tix in person at the ticket booths as well? They can only purchase a max. of 2 tickets per session?.. Hopefully there are still tix available at the ticket booths on the week of the event, in case dassad is not able to purchase any tix online..
i registered an account. but i see 25 th October - 3rd-phase of Guangzhou Asian Games Tickets Sales will be launched on Oct 25th but it's only by phone? where is online ticket system?
It's not 9AM yet is it over there? Probably a link will be available at that time ... Still 2hr13m to go ...
now another question - how can I know right now which tickets to buy? for example I want to see LD - which QF or SF to choose? still no calendar
