agree with this one. when I string 98 and tighten the knot (pull then arc back) the pull 'skinned' the tensioned string I'm tieing the knot to. well for $13 its alright but when it keep breaking up less than a month then the amount adding up quite fast :crying:
Sifuyono, sorry i dont understand what do you mean by adding some power on your stroke with 65ti? do you mean you add more power to your swing to produce more power out of 65ti? like giving 100% of your power when using 65ti compare to giving 80% power when you using 98?
Some one hasn't answer my question. what about nbg98 compare to bg66 sharp. which one produce more power? I thought both string has the same indication level for repulsion by yonex website rated at 9/10. now I am consider to string with nbg98 or bg66 sharp. Yes that what he meant
Hi Hansip, sorry since I never use 66 Sharp so I can't answer on that. Sorry, if thats what he meant I don't understand why playing with one type of string and only do 80% of power you can produce? Isn't it if he can produce x amount of smash power with 100% of his power using 65Ti then due to better repulsion of 98 he will produce higher amount of smash power? why limit to lower power he can do? sorry if I don't explain it properly.
Master Sifuyono is like a camel, you know right. Camel has a storage where they put extra food and drink for latter used. Same with master sifuyono, he has some extra power that he kept. I think that my nearest explanation. pls sifu you explain by your self. Back to topic. I tried nbg 98 on NS9000s. I dunno I couldn't feel the power. While I tried bg66sharp on ti-10, wow the power was there. So I dunno which one is more suitable for Arc10. Or the question is which one is more suitable for me.
i may say this giving 100% of my power when using bg-65ti compare to give 90% power when using nbg-98 with a little bit difference, i have to say i choose bg-65ti. if money doesn't matter, you may go w/ nbg-98
i dont lower my power, i just increase my attempt power w/ bg-65 to produce same ball speed as nbg-98. the huge difference in price between both, makes nbg-98 not realy worth of money, specially for me. 3pcs bg-65ti = 1pcs nbg-98 and again, i push so much harder with nbg-98, makes the risk the string will broken have increase greatly.
for me, nbg-98 has the most power, and surely it's better than bg-66sh specially the durability, nbg-98 is better, but it just drop it's tension a little bit quickly imo. nbg-98 didnt produce explosive feel when hitting, maybe that's why you feel it's powerless. but for true ball speed, nbg-98 is the edge. sometime i feel over power using this string, makes some shot going over out of the court. imo, bg66 almost the same as bg-66sharp in indonesia the price between two is almost the same, so nbg-98 should be a better investment compare to it's counterpart
then i'll broke my nbg-98 so quick, it's expensive here, so i must reconsider again.... this 2 session i already broke 2 pcs bg-66 and my top frame racquet.... but i admire that nbg-98 is the most powerfull string i've ever try
wiht conversion to USD, approx. USD15 for nbg-98 bg66 cost me USD 5.5 bg65ti cost USD 6 bg-66sharp price's almost the same as nbg98 i already give my last nbg-98 to my uncle, strung on his carbonex-8, so i dont have any now. but again, the popular one is still bg-66, even it's hard to find bg-65 in my town. so that's why i using bg-66 a lot.
Here bellow the price margin in Jakarta Nbg 98 - Bg 66sharp = $13.5 - $16 Bg 66 = $4.5 Bg 65ti = $6 I think you are paying a bit expensive on bg66. Back to topic. I will try Nbg 98 next time But how come Nbg 98 is more durable. I thought Bg 66 sharp is 0.68, is thicker than nbg98 0.66. May be because of the nanogy material.
yes/ it's because it's nano properties all thing already increasing now in here your bg-66 is really cheap compare in my town
Shuttlehouse cost $11.24USD for a set and $178USD for a 200m reel($8.9USD per set). I recently bought a 200m reel of NBG98 from shuttlehouse so i save quite a bit.
