..i read those news. The news might sound like the ING sponsorship is unclear, but if there is no ING logo on the players' jersey, then it's pretty obvious that ING is no longer a sponsor. It's as simple as that.
you are now BAM official reporter covering TC and UC bringing to us latest uptodate news from MAS...just need photos covering your adventure in MAS.
Top doubles pairs placed under different coaches “I’m more concerned with how I am going to help get them back on track again. It was decided on Tuesday that Fairuzizuan-Zakry will be under me while Rexy and Cheh Chang will be responsible for Kien Keat-Boon Heong,” said Rosman. “What happened to Fairuzizuan-Zakry was in the past and I was not directly in charge ... so it’s not fair for me to pass judgment. “They will go for the India Open next month and I hope they will take this opportunity to show to us they can still be depended on. “It will also be good if they can get back their confidence.” http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2010/5/27/sports/6345097&sec=sports Cheh Chang takes over Koo-Tan “Rexy agreed that changes are definitely needed if the doubles pairs are to produce results in the coming major events beginning with the World Championships, and he has proposed that Cheh Chang handle Kien Keat-Boon Heong,” said Kenny. “The coaches had weighed all options and the changes will remain until the end of the year.” “There will be a decision on their future but only after the fact-finding and post-mortem of the Thomas Cup is completed,” he said. Rexy had hinted that Fairuz could face disciplinary action after reacting angrily to fans’ taunts during the Malaysia- Japan clash in the Thomas Cup. I believed Pang can make a difference in Koo/Tan. He is a great coach.. in fact he is undervalued in BAM.
Good luck to KKK/TBH and Pang. I hope Pang will enforce discipline in these two and improve their skills. They seem to have stagnated since 2007.
in MAS, generally (neither pointing to KKK/TBH, nor offend MAS fans) when players produce consistent result, the coach can only give advice, and decision still under the player. This is diff in KOR & CHN team, whereby the coach decision is final. You are following instructions, or you are out from the team.
Think Tank Makes it s point “The whole idea of calling the experts was to get their frank opinions and it was an honest and free discussion,” said Nadzmi. “They analysed the feedback from the coaches and players and the major issues were discussed. (Datuk) James (Selvaraj) may be from a different era but he can still give feed back as he understands the current development of the game. “I will brief our council members about the findings next week and will be able to reveal more after that. “We will also have a second meeting and I have welcomed the experts to contribute more ideas.” All the coaches, except for Misbun Sidek, were also part of the discus sion. Sean Sturgess, Kookum Weeratun ga and Roesdi Abdul Ghani gave their input on sports science aspects. The committee members — Datuk Nadzmi Salleh (chairman), Datuk Sieh Kok Chi, Datuk James Selvaraj, Razif Sidek, Sheikh Kamaruddin Sheikh Ahmad, Datuk Sayed Abu Bakar Abdullah, Ng Chin Chai, Sean Sturgess, Kookum Weeratunga, Roesdi Abdul Ghani, Rexy Mainaky, Rashid Sidek, Tan Kim Her, Hendrawan, Jeremy Gan, Tey Siu Bock, Rosman Razak, Pang Cheh Chang, Kenny Goh. http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/ThinkTankMakesitspoint/Article
Thx for the articles, Limsy. You are like one of BC's in-house "newspapers", making things more convenient in BC - especially when we all need it, which is now... Thank you, "Limsy Press." Keep us all posted... Anxious to know about current situation of BAM...
Was he the coach for Koo/Tan in SSMF08 and for Wong/Chin's IO09? title? There's one excellent tactician among MAS coaches but I don't know the name although I can recognise the face.
Pang is the shorter chinese guy who likes to gesture when he gives advise. Not sure about SS Finals but Pang was there with KKK/TBH when they won Denmark & Macau 2008. Pang was also there (together with Rexy) earlier in their partnership, see MO,AE, Swiss 20007. I've stated before in KKK/TBh thread that KKK/TBH sucess rate is highest when Pang followed them for tournaments, 2nd=Rexy, 3rd=Rosman. I suppose the coaches now also come to same conclusion.
I like Pang....he was there in the Macau Open 2008 when Koo/Tan beat Kido/Hendra and Choong/Lee beat Fu/Cai!
He is short and have a cool look. He was the one that brought up TBH/KKK before Rexy took over. Im not sure if he was coaching Wong/Chin IO09 title.. i didnt watch it.. cant remember.
what stanster means is that he even save up the time to check, coz everything related to badminton is posted by limsy... he just nid a click to follow the link... hahaha! am i right stanster?
The Think Tanks.. definitely didnt give any feedback regarding the "Presidents" contribution in BAM so far...
