Anyone know a way to reduce customs charge? to UK it's as expensive as a racket! Any suggestion would be super helpful!

As expensive as a cheap racket you mean? :D It is a simple 20% VAT (on racket and shipping cost) and a clearance fee (£8)

Avoid EMS/express shipping like the plague and pray 63.gif

    http://www.royalmail.com/business/h...stoms-requirements#Receiving mail from abroad

It is the same in the entire E.U. and many other countries (local VAT rate, 25% in some European countries, and the clearance fee charged by your local postal service for storage, filling in the forms)
But they receive far more parcels on a day than they can process (within 30 days) so they pick out a certain amount and others slip through the cracks. Big parcels obviously stand out more ...

"Gifts" are also not exempt of taxes (when the value is above 36GBP), if they even buy that it is a gift which is not always the case ;)

Out of the 5 large parcels I've received from him, only one has been charged by customs. 2 went into customs (including the charged one) and the other 3 just went straight through. Even with customs charges, it still works out alot cheaper. It's just that horrible delay for the delivery

How much did you have to pay for customs? It's not a lot is it?

Altogether I had to pay something like £18, most of it is Parcel Force handling fee.
You can easily save that amount on a single racket from RKEP.

Just thought to provide a feedback for Racket Rkep here.
Racket Rkep provides extremely fast delivery and prompt respond to your emails.
Contacted them on 17 May(Friday) regarding a badminton racket VT70 plus stringing just before end of business hours and the racket arrived in Perth on 22 May. 5 Days(include weekend) from Taiwan to Perth. To me that's impressive.
The price for the racket is great too. I will definitely tell everyone this is the the best online racket store yet. Cant wait to try it out tonight.:D Happy customer.
    Thanks Racket Rkep (Eric).

As this will be my second post on this forum, I must say that RKEP (Eric) provides some of the best customer service I've experienced anywhere period. And... I'm not just talking about buying racket equipment either, I'm talking about committing oneself to providing a superior level of service in whatever he/she decides to do. IMHO we need more people like this in the world. Props to Eric at RKEP!

Thanks Eric for the fantastic service and quick postage. Racquet arrived in Perth in 3.5 days. Looking forward to dealing with you again. I definitely know who to look for when wanting to buy Victor stuff :)

    Thanks again.

Received my order today. Was sent out by Eric Tuesday last week, on the plane Wednesday, at the local airport Friday and almost a week later in my possesion (a lot quicker through customs than usual perhaps because I enquired about it yesterday).

Miscellaneous stuff not photographed (includes a pair of RKEP socks which are pretty high quality I must say [IMG]; now about that design ... :p). Both rackets in above condition weighing exactly 163gr. (bottom one supposed to be the more even balanced but felt more headheavy than the other). In the meanwhile stripped off the orange Power Master grip to apply some electrical tape on the handle and racket now weighs 147gr. without any grip [IMG]. Believe I asked for 130gr. (unstrung) but I won't be using the complete replacement grip when I re-grip it with either the Ultimate or Super Soft.
