19-24 is the recommended tension. You can string higher all you want, Yonex just won't offer warranty if you do.

How better is Voltric 9 is compared two Arcsaber 07 / 08 / 09 ? Which one is better for a player who has a stronger arm, likes to smash, but likes to drop a whole lot and also likes net play?

At last, found a shop that sell VT9 and VT3 in pertama complex. RM330 and 220 respectively before 30% discount. Also saw ZM65 sold for rm32!

Time to negotiate with the CFO :p

RM330 before 30% discount for VT9! That is a steal! I got mine at S$125 in Singapore about 2 months ago. Has the price dropped so much?

nah, its standard to get 30% off retail price in malaysia if you know where to shop. just took so long to get stocked. unfortunately, i've only seen in 2 shops so far.

After the initial struggling with VT9, I am starting to enjoy it and playing more to its strength :) Most probably due to my improved timing and arm strength, my smashing is sharper and harder. My playing buddies always served high and give me lots of high clear when I started playing with VT9. I ended up either smashing birdies under net or a weak smash. Yesterday, everything just come together and I was making a killing in smashing with my VT9. It is getting fun!

Good question. I was using VT7 and it was a totally different animal (at least to me). In fact, I struggle so much when I started playing VT9 and was contemplating going back to VT7, VT5 or MX60 (way too expensive). I did play with VT7 yesterday and it is so much lack of power compared with VT9. I am so glad VT9 works for me now. Defense is slightly affected because manoeuvrability is lower due the much heavier head of VT9. Repulsion seems to be better and head frame is definitely steadier.

    Hi Moomoo,
Is the VT3 is the normal VT3 version?

I'm assuming the Limited Edition 2012 has not yet arrived in the shops.

I replied to you yesterday but not sure why my reply was on hold. I am replying here again. I was using VT7 before. It is very a light Voltric and a whole different animal (at least to me). That is one of the reasons I struggled so much when I switched to VT9. Defense with VT9 is slower due to its heavier head. At the same time, I feel that it has more repulsion and steadier than VT7. It is really a fun racket if you like to smash. The smashing sound is so sexy when you hit the sweet spot.

I can get the VT7 for the same price as VT9. Which one should I go for? Since the VT9 is more head heavy it will be better for smashes... but why is VT7 $20 more in value in other website? I am a smasher and love to drop (basically an all around player).

VT5 ... for ME it is the ideal compromise between power and control.

I'm currently using AT70MG. Looking forward to try this racket soon. Is there any idea that the racket speed is faster than AT70MG?

Possibly... The AT70MG has a wide head shape and has a box shape (Cross-section) where as the VT-9 has a similar head shape compared to the AT70MG and has a aero shape(Cross-section)
